Study on the Cultivated Land Total Factor Productivity in Shaanxi Province Based on the DEA-Malmquist TFP index

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to conduct empirical analysis on cultivated land total factor productivity changes of Shaanxi Province from 1990 to 2011 .Method employed is DEA-Malmquist TFP index method .The re-sults show that :(1) Overall ,the province’s cultivated land total factor productivity grew rapidly ,but the growth rate gradually decreasing .(2) Structure from the growth point of view ,the cultivated land total factor productivity growth is mainly from the growth of technical progress ,rather than technical efficiency growth .(3) From the point of view of growth differences ,regional differences are more significant ,and the growth in the various regions of the structure is not exactly the same .Finally ,according to the conclusions ,the paper proposes relevant policy recommendations .
