An Analysis of Characteristics of Spatial Structure of National Rural Tourism Model Counties

Abstract:This paper selected 254 national leisure agriculture and rural tourism model counties as the research sample ,and studied their distribution types ,concentration and equilibrium degree by means of mathematical and spatial analysis methods .The results showed that the national leisure agriculture and ru‐ral tourism model county creation and selection had regional rationality ;the distribution of model counties on the provincial scale and eight comprehensive economic zone scale had typical spatial centralization char‐acteristics ,and urban population was the main factor that determines the spatial structure ;model county population distributes in the eastern and central regions mainly in and around the capital cities ,especially in the Yangtze River Delta and Beijing‐Tianjin‐Hebei region whose distribution density was the highest , followed by the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River and the middle reaches of the Yangtze River . The government should pay attention to the balance of distribution in the region and increase efforts to support .
