"Mental Poverty" of the University Students in Poverty: Reasons and Counseling

Abstract:University students in is a special community in university,they are poor not only in economy,but also in psychology.The root of mental poverty is learning helplessness,and pessimistic explanatory style is the cognitive reason of learning helplessness.The optimistic therapy proposed by Seligman may develop positive mood,also turn pessimistic explanatory style into optimistic explanatory style.It is an effective method to rectify the mental povertyof university students in poverty.
