Abstract:Connected to the modern knowledge formation and institutional changes in the late Qing period, the revival of the Guwen Classics and the subsequent disputes between Guwen Classics and Jinwen Classics have always been academic focuses. Since the late Qing dynasty, ”Shu Learning” as an important school of Jinwen Classics, has become a center of the Chinese traditional learning. ”Sichuan Academy of Traditional Chinese Learning”, established at the beginning of the Republic of China and gathering together many scholars, witnessed the disputes between Liao Ping and Liu Shipei, the cultural phenomenon in modern Chinese academic field. We believe that the examination and review of the event is helpful to depict the tendency of Shu Learning and the change of Liu Shipei's research, to outline the transformation of the Jinwen-Guwen Classics at the beginning of the Republic of China.

Abstract:Liu xizai is a famous writer in literary criticism in late Qing Dynasty,whose book The Sum of Literature gives a high and correct evaluation of Li bai's poems and is quite creative.This is exhibited in these aspects: the origin of Li bai 's poems can be traced back to Zhuang and Sao;Li bai had great ambitions and wanted to assist a ruler in governing a country,but his poems often represent the opposition;his words have proper limits in essence;Li bai's poems have elegant content and rhythm and besides,he often has Promethean verses.

Abstract:Based on Wenxuan Jizhu (Collected Connotations of Wenxuan) by Lu Yangji et al as the main source and other written materials,this paper aims at verifying that in the"Biographies of Qu Yuan and Jia Sheng"in Shiji (the Grand Scribe's of Records) by Sima Qian,Qu Yuan's courtesy name was originally Ping.In various versions published after the Tang Dynasty,Ping became Qu Yuan's last name due to the printing error.

Abstract:In the newly excavated epitaphs, there are three concerned Liu Changqing, a famous poet in the middle Tang dynasty. Depending on the epitaphs and other presented documents, we can further discuss several problems about Liu Changqing’s life story. First, he was the chief military officer in Junyi county, Chenliu prefecture. Secondly, the date of his success in the highest imperial examination is determined with the new proofs. Thirdly, the time when he was the imperial supervisor can be determined now. Fourthly the time when he became the Zhuanyun judge of E-yue is cleared.

Abstract:Through careful collation and analysis,this paper calls into question the widely accepted view that the first five chapters of the traditional Chinese novel Jin Ping Mei Cihua come from an unabridged edition of Shuihu Zhuan.The author believes that some episodes of the novel such as Pan Jinlian poisoning her husband Wu Da come from this kind of edition while others,such as Wu Song fighting the tiger,could only be taken from an abridged edition.She supposes the author of Jin Ping Mei Cihua had only an incomplete unabridged edition of Shuihu Zhuan in hand when he wrote the novel and based the material missing from that text on an abridged edition.This paper also draws on Hu Yinglin's comments in Shaoshi Shanfang Bicong to date the novel to the years between 1573 and 1589.

Abstract:In ancient China,there was a close relationship between the literature and wine.The drink-ers attending in a feast usually used some special poems so-called Jiu-ling for fun.This article aims to dis-cuss a set of poems renamed Jiu-ling which was written on the Qin bamboo or wooden tablets kept in the Peking University.Amazingly,we also found a wine die with four different charges,whose shape we have never seen before accompanying with the tablets.

Abstract:Jin Gui Yu Han Jing(, The Jade Case Classic of the Golden Cabinet) and Shanghan Lun(, Treatise on Febrile Diseases) have similar contents but different names, and they were handed down after being collated by the Medical Records Bureau in 1066, the third year of the Northern Song Dynasty. At present, Jin Gui Yu Han Jing is Chen Shijie's edition in the Qing Dynasty. Chen Shijie got the manuscript of Song Dynasty from He Zhuo, a scholar of Qing Dynasty, then corrected it, and published it in 1717. By searching the citations from Jin Gui Yu Han Jing in medical works from 1066 to 1717, and dividing them into two categories: direct quotation and indirect quotation, so as to investigate the spreading situation of Jin Gui Yu Han Jing since Song Dynasty. According to this, it can be inferred that Jin Gui Yu Han Jing had not been found by doctors in Yuan and Ming Dynasties.

Abstract:Using a novel written in the Ming dynasty and dealing with the time of Zong dynasty, I tried to assess the common medical services available in those days. The name of the novel is "Jing Ping Mei". The book contains many descriptions of sexual acts and had long been listed as an erotic novel, but by studying its contents closely we came to see that the life of the people in olden times is vividly and concisely illustrated. When a person became critically ill, first a doctor was called in, and then the so-called "three nuns and six old women" gave herb drugs or moxa treatments. They sometimes worked as midwives, said prayers, or acted as a shaman. They lived closely with the family of Xi Men Qing. If these women were unsuccessful, taoists came to pray and perform rituals. Finally the diviner or fortune-teller (yin-yang master) made preparations to allow free passage to the other world. Then the date of the funeral, position of the tomb, and the fate of the person were told. These steps are all described in the book. The doctor deals with many departments, such Ren, He, Liu. Bogus doctors such as Hu, and Zhao also appear in the stories. They are generally called bell doctors or wandering doctors. They are regarded as second-class doctors, but they were more popular with the common people and were engaged in medical services. In fact, it seems that they were respected by the townspeople. Abstract:Wu Jinshou()[(1785-1795)-(1844-1851)]once wanted to take the imperial examination, but in late Qing Dynasty, under the depressed situation of economics and politics, he was trapped in countryside as many lower intellectuals, and chose medicine as another way to earn a living. In fact, he was both a doctor and a literatus. He kept friends with scholars, such as Zhang Tingji, Yao Wentian, Lu Changchun, Wei Guangfu, and scholar-physicians like Chen XIshu, Lu zeng and also Xu Jin's family, famous doctors at that time. He changed status Flexibly. To some extent, he represented the basic appearance of the traditional Chinese practitioner. In Daoguang 11 years(1831), Wu Jinshou published Medincal Cases Records of Three physicians(《》), Yi Xiao Mi Chuan(《》), Wen Re Zhui Yan(《》). This naturally have business purpose and was market-oriented. He had influenced on the spread of Wuzhong(the name of Suzhou and its surrounding area in Ming and Qing Dynasty) medical books, and provided some topics to the study of the Wenbing academic history.

Abstract:Jing Jian Nei Zhi and The Admonitions of Bao Shuya and Xi Peng which were collected in the Bamboo Slips of chu Stored in the Shanghai Museum (Ⅵ) , though their handwritings are dissimilar, can be concluded that they belong to the same chapter by re-compliation. The admonitions of Bao Shuya and Xi Peng records two officals, Bao Shuya and Xi Peng admonished to Duke heng of Qi. But that it describes is incompatible with document and historical fact which were handed down from ancient times. The total solar e-clipse mentioned in this file is not an actual celestial phenomena. It records that when the Shang Dynasty sent a puntitive expedition against Wu Ding, there w.ere tweets of pheasants; this is worth noticing, because it is different from Shangshu-Gaozhong Rongri(a kind of sacrificial ceremony), maybe it comes from Gaozhong Zhi Xun .

Abstract:This paper discusses some variant characters in the remarks affiliated to Sui(Hexagram 17 in current version), Wu Wang(Hexagram 25), Xian(Hexagram 31), and Heng(Hexagram 32) in the Zhouyicopied on the bamboo slips of Chu, and raises new interpretations to the remarks attached to the top line of Sui, those to the hexagram Wu Wang, as well as the remarks to its second and fifth lines, remarks to the initial and top lines of hexagram Heng. This discussion is of fundamental significance to the studies of the Text ofZhouyi.

Abstract:Luo Jinxi, a most preeminent thinker of Taizhou School, can be regarded as an intermediator between Wang Yangming and Li Zhuowu. On one hand, the Theory of Children's Mind owes much to Jinxi's Theory of Natural Kindness, which advocates both the truth and the good. On the other hand, Jinxi's claim that Everything is my body and Desire is embedded in Justice makes it possible to look on Desire as part of Justice, which obviously leads to the becoming of Zhuowu's thoughts. Comprehensive and integrative is Jinxi's theory, as is deeply affected by Cheng Mingdao's thoughts of benevolence and by his notion that everything on Earth is of the same body. Being a major Confucian scholar of Song Dynasty, Cheng is completely admired by Jinxi. It can be concluded that the early intellectual thoughts draw much as the theoretical fundaments from Wufeng's and Ming-dao's learing.

Abstract:Dongpo Yangshengji is compositions on health preservation in SU Dongpo's works. The health preserving philosophy centered on 'an' (peaceful mind) and 'he' (harmony) is embodied in the book. It can be certain that the book was compiled by WANG Ruxi in the 8th year of the Ming Emperor Chongzhen. There are 3 editions and 2 series existing. One is the Ming edition series represented by the Chongzhen edition, and the other is the Qing edition series which is represented by the CHEN Daosheng edition. The notes in the Chongzhen edition were made by WANG Ruxi, and QIU Xiangsheng revised the comments then formed the Qing edition. The preface of Kangxi could be the key point to differentiate between the two editions.

Abstract:Except the complete literature of Maishu: Xiajing, Tianhui medical slips unearthed in Chengdu also include a part of literature document on meridian, which was seriously damaged. Both of them were found in the same box together with Yimashu. The title of the document chapter was not found in the residual medical slips. By investigated the textual content, it was discovered that such medical slips were different from the Mawangdui silk books, i.e. Yinyang Shiyimai Jiujing and Zubi Shiyimai Jiujing, Maishu of Zhangjiashan bamboo slips of Han Dynasty, as well as Maishu: Xiajing in Tianhui medical slips. But, the sentences in description are similar to the sentences of Jingmai in Lingshu (Miraculous Pivot), therefore, this residual slips was named as Jingmai (Meridian) by the collator. In the paper, by the comparison of this residual slip chapter with the unearthed literature document on meridian as well as Jingmai in Lingshu, the origin and evolution of meridian theory of traditional Chinese medicine in the Qin and Han dynasties were explained. By taking it as an example, the construction process of classical theory of traditional Chinese medicine was explored.

Abstract:Baijiu culture is an important part of traditional Chinese culture and plays an important role in inheriting and carrying forward the excellent culture. At present, there are a large number of documents on Baijiu/ Liquor culture, but only a few of them are related to a particular local culture. This research deeply explores the long history of Suqian Baijiu culture, aiming to sort out and translate the brewing process of Suqian Baijiu, etc., which helps to understand the rich connotation and enhance the relative intrinsic value of Suqian Baijiu culture. However, due to barriers of language and cultural background, there are often various irregularities and errors in translation from Chinese to English, which makes it even difficult for foreigners to understand unique liquor culture of China. The purposes of this research and related translation of Suqian Baijiu culture are to bring Suqian liquor to the international market and let more people feel the charm of Suqian local Baijiu culture.

Abstract:Wang Guo-wei is a representative of modern history study and was once regarded as "Pioneer of New History Study".His studies on literature,philosophy,history and so on are far more outstanding than his research on Jingxue due to the fact that Jingxue was neglected in modern times.However,after he took his travel to Japan and turned his research focus from literature and philosophy to history,Jingxue became a break-through for his great achievements in the later years.To Wang Guo-wei,Jingxue did not belong to Jinwen tradition as seen by Kang Youwei,neither did it belong to Guwen tradition perceived by Zhang Taiyan.It's no doubt that his work bears the most distinctive features in the argument on Jinwen and Guwen during late Qing and early Minguo period: through his study on the meanings of "Guwen" in "Shiji",he reveals the real sense of the works in early Han Dynasty;through his similar study on "Guwen" in "Hanshu",he makes clear the meanings of the works in early Eastern Han Dynasty;by studying "Shuowenjiezi",he understands what is discussed in "Shuowen";by studying the classics of Wei Dynasty carved in three different script styles,he understands the "Guwen Theory" in Wei,Jin and Six Kingdoms;It is also through his systematic study on Han Guwen school of thoughts that he realizes the significance of "Guwen" turning from script style to school of thoughts.In a word,by employing a new perspective,that is,by taking the advantage of the newly discovered new materials such as the excavated Jiaguwen as well as Jinwen(金文),Wang Guo-wei enables the research on Jingxue and its history to be more convincing and reliable.

Abstract:As a representative of traditional Chinese distilled liquor, the unique flavor of Sauce Flavor Baijiu is closely related to its brewing techniques. This study systematically explored the sensory quality and flavor characteristics of Sauce Flavor Baijiu produced by different fermentation techniques through sensory evaluation, gas chromatography analysis, and multivariate statistical methods. The results indicated that the techniques of Chuansha, Suisha, Kunsha, and their blends significantly influenced the concentration and proportion of flavor compounds in Baijiu, subsequently altering its aroma and taste. Specifically, Chuansha Baijiu exhibited weaker aroma and thinner taste; Suisha Baijiu presented certain complexity and a softer taste; while Kunsha Baijiu boasted a strong aroma and full-bodied taste. This study established a scientific quality evaluation system for Sauce Flavor Baijiu, providing theoretical foundations and technical support for the optimization of brewing techniques and improvement of Baijiu quality.
