Reflection on the Property Structure of Rural Cooperative Bank

Abstract:Rural credit cooperatives have been long troubled by mingled property, ownership absence and confusing accountability. The reform since mid-2003 addressed clear property as guiding principle. As one of the pilot provinces (municipalities), Zhejiang Province adopted rural cooperative banks as reform sample. This paper analyzes the property structure of rural cooperative banks in Zhejiang Province, proposes policy suggestions to promote rural cooperative bank development.
