An Empirical Study on the Relationship between Industrial Structure and Per Capita GDP

Abstract:Under China's new urbanization background, industrial restructuring and upgrading is an important way of building green economy. Industrial structure is not only related to environmental management but also closely related to people's living standards. This paper established the panel data model between industrial structure and per capita GDP of China's 13 provinces from 2005 to 2013 by Eviews. The results showed that: there was a positive correlation between industrial structure and per capita GDP, economic development could upgrade the industrial structure, and upgrading and optimization of industrial structure can also increase the per capita GDP and thus improve people's living standards.
