Abstract:With the continuous development of society,the desire of employees to pursue career growth is increasing growing.The career growth of Employees has been a hot topic since the 1980s.Some studies also show that career growth is one of the main factors when the college students choose to work in China.Today,individuals would shift across different organizations in order to seek their own professional growth.So,what factors will affect the employee's career growth has become a key issue in the theoretical fields. Many scholars have found that personal factors and external environmental factors impact on employeecareer growth.They have done a lot of research about the factors especially personal factors.However,some scholars believe that the employers or organizations should bear more responsibility for employee's career growth in today's constantly changing environment and they should invest more resources and provide moreopportunities for the career growth of employees.At present,some scholars have explored the organizational factors on career growth in current theoretical research.However,systematic study of the relationship of theemployment relationship and career growth is still relatively limited.Therefore,the paper tries to analysis the employee career growth mechanism from the perspective of the employer.The article discusses the impact of different types of employment relationship on employee's career growth.It tries to explore that what measures the employer should take to promote the professional growth of employees in the instability external environment.Moreover,it also discusses its mediated effect of perceived organizational support between them. First,this study reviews the research of the fields of employee-organization relationships;career growth and build a relational model of employment relationship;perceived organizational support and career growth.And some hypotheses are suggested.Second,the operating definition of every concepts or variables is described.Three mature scales are used in this article.Third,it uses software SPSS16.0 to test the reliability of the scales.And it uses the confirmatory factor analysis to calculate the convergent validity and discriminate validity of thescales though the data from questionnaire survey collected 636 employees.Then,hierarchical regressionanalysis method is used to prove the hypotheses among the variables.The statistical analysis results shows thatthese scales have good reliability and validity and the assumptions is been verified.Finally,it interprets and analyzes the conclusions in the data analysis.The significance to the management practices and guiding is also discussed in the end of the paper. The study verifies that there are four types of employee-organization relationships based on incentive-contribution model for ordinary staff firstly.Secondly,we proved that different types of employment relationship have different effects on career growth and perceived organizational support of employees.Mutual investment employment relationship is more positive to employees' career growth and perceived organizational support compare to the other types of employment relationship.Thirdly,perceived organizational support has positive effect to the four dimensions of career growth.And it has a partial mediating effect between the relationship of mutual investment;over-investment employment relationship and the four dimensions of the career growth,but it has fully mediating effect between the relationship of quasi-contract employment relationship and the remuneration growth of dimensions of the career growth. This study selects career growth as an outcome of employment relationship.It enriches the dependent variables of employment relationship.It discusses the factors affecting career growth from the perspective of the organization.And it explores the mechanism of the employment relationship and career growth.These findings have some practical enlightenment on the management practices on how to promote the career growth of employees and enhance the employees' perceived organizational support.At the end of this article some limitation and the directions for future research are discussed.
