Analysis on Scale, Level and Structure of China-Kazakhstan Intra-Industry Trade of Energy Products-Based on Silk Road Economic Zone as Strategic Background

Abstract:This study analyzes intra-industry trade developments of energy products within China and Kazakhstan from 1999 to 2014 from the perspectives of scale, level, and structure. The result shows that:energy products trade scale is expanding, but the inter-industry trade is predominant, intra-industry trade has focused on oil products and vertical intra-industry trade is playing more important role, the intra-industry trade of energy products has great room to improve. Thus, empirical evidence and reasonable suggestions are proposed for the development of China-Kazakh energy trade by analyzing the factors affecting intra-industry trade within China and Kazakhstan from the point of economic scale, income difference, trade fair degree, foreign direct investment.
