Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to analyze the international land reclamation research focus and trend based on the statistical analysis of 31 years’ proceedings of the Annual Meeting of the American Society of Mining and Reclamation. Divided into three periods, the key words in the proceedings have been analyzed by VOSviewer, a bibliometric mapping software. The results show: 1)the cluster analysis has divided the key words into three clusters, “land reclamation evaluation, planning and management”, “acid mine drainage” and “soil and vegetation”; 2)the key words are stable with subtle changes, and the amount increases gradually. We conclude that the research became more specific, the research objects became more diverse, and connotation extended consistently. Besides, the innovative reclamation notions, techniques and materials sprang up. It is clearly that the ecology impact and its research methods have become and will continue to be the focus.
