Analysis on Interest Rates Liberalization in Our Country from the Angle of Benefit and Cost

Abstract:The cautious analysis on benefit and cost as well as comparison between various advantages and disadvantages by People's Bank of China have led to the course of interest rates liberalization in our country. In the early days of new China, it was rational that interest rates were regulated strictly. But as reform is deepening, the benefit of interest rates liberalization is far beyond the cost. So interest rates liberalization is an inevitable outcome in our interest rates reform. Our country has chosen the pattern of gradual reform based on the analysis of benefit and cost.
