Heluo Culture’s Complex Ecological Advantages

Abstract:The previous studies of Heluo culture generally concentrated on the field of historical culture. However, besides the politi cal, economic, cultural and other social advantages, its unique complex ecological advantages should be seen as a cradle to breed Heluo culture. The good natural ecological system in Heluo region is coupled with its advanced economic and social system, so as to form a stable human-earth system with the good self-organizing and self-adjustment ability. Since ancient times, there have been many social unrests and natural disasters, but has never encountered subversive, devastating destruction, and has always maintained the trend of sustainable development. Heluo culture as a model for Chinese traditional culture, its vast connotation, rich accumulation, high reputation and big influence made all other regional cultures difficult to match. However, nowadays, the timeless charm of the Heluo culture and historical status of Heluo region has often been artificially weakened. Therefore the importance of Heluo region in the country’s political and economic layout is in danger of marginalization. Thankfully, with the deepening of reform and opening to the outside world and the adjustment of the national strategic development, the strategic position of the Central Plains including the Heluo region is increasingly prominent, it reflects the historical advantage of the Central Plains is being reperceived by the decision-making circles.
