Review of Past Five Years' Study on Open Access(OA) and Intellectual Property

Abstract:OA is a kind of new publication mode and academic communication mechanism developed in the network environment. After many years' development,the study on OA resources is increasing year by year. However, the OA study in China focus primarily on the concept, content and construction of OA.As for the construction and utilization of open access resources have made some progress, the problem of intellectual property of OA resources has become an important factor restricting its development. Whether in open storage or in the OA journal publishing field, how to solve the contradiction between OA and protection of intellectual property rights in the network environment will become an important subject. So it is necessary to review the papers of the past 5 years about OA and intellectual property and to summarize the emphases and shortages of China's study on this problem in order to lay a role for the research on OA and intellectual property.
