Study on the Effect of Internationalization on Innovation Ability of Firms in Emerging Markets---Based on the Interaction of Different Dimensions

Abstract:Internationalization has emerged as an important strategy for firms in emerging countries to fulfill innovation catch‐up .How ever ,prior research largely ignores the conditions and mechanism of internationalization on innovation abili‐ty of firms in emerging countries .Taking Chinese a share high‐tech listed enterprises as research samples ,based on the in‐tegrated perspective of knowledge based view and ambidexterity ,the article explores the impact of international breadth and international depth to the enterprise's innovation ability ,and their interaction to innovation ability .The research show s that international breadth has positive effect on the innovation ability ,international depth has positive effect on the innovation ability ,international breadth and international depth have positive interaction on the enterprise's innovation abil‐ity .The study results will have significant theoretical and practical implications to the internationalization of the enterpri‐ses in emerging markets .
