Principal’s Informatization Governance Ability: Connotation, Core Elements and Training Strategies

Abstract:Principal’s informatization governance ability refers to principals deal with school public affairs in an effec－tive way by means of information technology.In this process, principals interact and collaborate with teachers, students, parents and other educational participants, following the institutional arrangements.The core elements of the principal’s informatization governance ability can be divided into four parts:the informatization guiding ability, infor－matization coordinating ability, informatization constructing ability and informatization evaluation ability.The cultiva－tion strategy of principal information management ability mainly involves three aspects: take training and learning as the starting point to improve the principal’s information technology literacy; on the basis of school situation, we should enhance the principal’s informatization guiding ability, informatization coordinating ability and informatization constructing ability;change our ideas into incisions to improve the principal’s informatization evaluation ability.
