Abstract:According to the unified deployment of the National Leading Group for Reform in the Ed-ucation System,Chinese Academy of Engineering undertook the project of evaluating the Implementa-tion of the series of “Outstanding Talent Training Programs”,and carried out the mid-term assess-ment of the implementation of “the National Outline for Medium and Long- term Education Reform and Development (2010-2020)”.From the implementation of the “the Plan for Education and Training Outstanding Engineers (PETOE)”,participating universities gradually established a new mechanism of personnel training combined with industry,innovative the personnel training mode of engineering edu-cation,cultivated professional teachers qualified for the high level Engineering education through train-ing and cross-border learning.The implementation of the plan,to a certain extent has enhanced the quality of engineering personnel training,promoted the close cooperation between colleges and enterpri-ses,produced the radiation effect and social effect,and laid a good foundation for the follow-up imple-mentation and the achievement of final goal of the PETOE.
