Do College Students’Entrepreneurship are Passive:A Discussion from the Perspective of Starting Salary

Abstract:Understanding college students’entrepreneurial intention scientifically is the meaningful and necessary premise of carrying out entrepreneurship education and related work. This study is a quantitative study which takes the starting salary as the proxy variable of entrepreneurial intention’s opportunity cost, and we deduce the type of entrepreneurial intention through its influential factors and starting salary’s different influences on different student groups. Results show that the lower of starting salary , the higher of entrepreneurial intention; the entrepreneurial intention of students who has financial difficulties and students who have been student carders is more significantly negatively influenced by the starting salary. In conclusion, it is more likely that college students’entrepreneurial intention is the passive type at present.
