The flipped classroom applied in standardized training of resident physicians in department of dermatology

Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of the flipped classroom teaching method in standardized training of residents in department of dermatology.Methods We selected 36 students of grades 2014 and 2015 as rotation residents in the Department of Dermatology of our hospital as the research subjects.They were divided into flipped classroom teaching method group (n =18) and traditional teaching method group (n =18) according to the different teaching method.Based on theoretical knowledge of dermatology,clinical practice skills assessment and the questionnaire survey of the 18 residents in flipped classroom teaching group,we evaluated the effects of different teaching methods on the training outcome.Results Theory test results showed that the students taught by the flipped classroom method outperformed the traditional teaching method group in mastering basic knowledge and using clinical practice skills.At the same time,the new method could improve the students' interest in learning,enthusiasm for learning,learning efficiency,comprehensive clinical thinking and autonomous learning.Conclusion More attention should be paid to the application of the flipped classroom teaching method in standardized training of resident doctors in department of dermatology.
