Abstract:The integration of European vocational education is the objective requirement for vocational education in the context of European integration. It is an inevitable trend after the integration of European higher education. Since ＂the Copenhagen Declaration＂ was published in 2002, European Union has strengthened the cooperation and policy direction and taken some measures to promote the process of the integration of European vocational educa- tion. Its successful experience can be drawn on to promote the vocational education in our country.

Abstract:The characteristic of China＇s vocational education and training exist the double segmentation of primary and the secondary labor market, the urban-rural and regional segmentation in the secondary labor market with double dualisms. This paper describes characteristics of double dualisms by qualitative and quantitative methods. Double dualisms of labor market, reformation and transformation of welfare policy and adequate supply of labor force are the main reason for double dualisms. This paper proposes the governance strategies such as changing welfare ideas, building long-term mechanism to eliminate double dualisms.
Interpreting New Patterns of Teacher Education Organizations in Germany:An Analysis Based on the Visit to PSE at the Humboldt University and CTE at the Free University Berlin

Abstract:Since the 21st century, Germany, relatively conservative in the field of teacher education, has made some reforms in succession, and the establishment of new patterns of teacher education organizations is just among them. This paper firstly analyzes the background of the establishment, then takes the“grass-root”Professional School of Education ( PSE) at the Humboldt University and the“official” Centre of Teacher Edu-cation ( CTE) at the Free University Berlin as examples to address mainly the following three issues:function, organizational structuring and staffing as well as operational mechanism, and also compares the two different types of organizations based on the above three dimensions. Finally, it argues that the PSE and CTE, as repre-sentatives of new patterns of teacher education organizations in Germany, have been a good try in teacher edu-cation reform. However, the effectiveness and achievement of this reform remains unclear, and it takes time to give a proper answer.

Abstract:Looking at the current figures for enrolment and completion, vocational education and training (VET) in Denmark is in a bad way. Over the course of the last 15 years, significantly fewer students have enrolled in VET, whereas enrolments in general upper secondary education have increased. Furthermore, approximately half the students enrolling in VET do not complete the programme. This has been widely interpreted as reflecting a loss of prestige for VET. This article examines assumptions regarding the reasons for the low standing and status of VET among young people that inspired the initiatives comprising the 2014 reform of Danish VET. It also summarises the findings of research on the impact of these initiatives. Concluding that the 2014 reform has had no impact on either enrolment or completion rates, the article provides a number of explanations for the lack of effect; explanations that can be used to assess the likelihood of success for current and future measures to improve the standing and status of VET.

Abstract:This paper delves into the hurdles and prejudices encountered by vocational and technical education in China, employing Carol Bacchi's WPR (What's the Problem Represented to Be?) framework for analysis. It underscores the uneven allocation of resources, societal viewpoints, and the influence of economic disparities on access to education. Drawing inspiration from the vocational education paradigms in Switzerland and Germany, the paper proposes alternative solutions. It underscores the urgency for a holistic overhaul of the education system, amalgamation of general and vocational education, and a shift in societal attitudes. The paper concludes that tackling these issues will pave the way for equitable educational opportunities and brighter futures for all Chinese students.

Abstract:Taking the key factors for the success of German “duale ausbildung” vocational education as the starting point, this paper introduces in detail five aspects: the leading role of the government, the main role of enterprises, the degree of social recognition, the team of dual qualified teachers, and the assessment and evaluation system. This paper analyzes the problems faced by vocational education in China, such as low social recognition, weak cooperation between schools and enterprises, inadequate talent training in schools to meet social needs, and insufficient attention from the government, and draws on the successful factors of dual vocational education in Germany to propose four inspirations for the reform of vocational education in China, including: improving laws and regulations, improving the security mechanism, improving the attractiveness of vocational education, strengthening the construction of “dual teachers” team Improve the social applicability of vocational education.

Abstract:Vocational education is the main way to improve the quality of national skills. In developed countries in the world economy, all are placed in an important position, but specific methods have their own characteristics. The dual system of vocational education in Germany is quite distinctive, and it is also extremely advanced. Today, it is particularly important to learn from the advanced experience of foreign countries when carrying forward the spirit of craftsmen in a great country. Vocational education between China and Germany differs greatly from eight aspects of culture, vocational education concepts and values, legal systems, vocational education models, as well as the construction of the teaching staff and the implementation process of education and teaching. Therefore, Chinese vocational education cannot replicate the German model. It must be based on China’s national conditions and learn from German vocational education experience, from improving laws and regulations, strengthening the construction of “dual-teacher” faculty, standardizing the construction of curriculum systems and curriculum standards, and forming an industry-enterprise participation mechanisms and other aspects, carry out practical reforms and innovations to promote the healthy and orderly development of China’s vocational education and serve the sound development of the social economy.

Abstract:In recent years, China has attached great importance to the development of vocational education, and China is eager to improve itself by learning from the world's advanced vocational education system. China has been cooperating with Germany since the last century and has learned the German dual system. However, there is still a gap between the two until now in vocational education. By comparing the differences between the two countries in vocational education in top-level design, colleges, universities, and society, this paper finds out the differences between China and Germany in vocational education and hopes to find out the problems in the above three aspects as well as in other aspects on the road of development of vocational education in China from these differences and provide some relatively feasible solutions, to further advance the development of vocational education in China. We hope to explore the problems in these three aspects and others in the development of Chinese vocational education from these differences and provide some relatively feasible solutions to further promote the development of Chinese vocational education.

Abstract:<span>This study explores the type-based vocational education system from the perspective of China. General education and vocational education are equal types of education in status, but not based on different levels of education in China. Specifically, the connotation of vocational education as type-based education is mainly embodied in 'three directions'. The outstanding problems of vocational education as a type-based education include 'four aspects'. Vocational education as a type-based education reform path is considered as 'four reforms'. We should strengthen management, improve the comprehensive quality of vocational college students and make clear the direction and explore the new path of reform and development of vocational colleges. In addition, we need to optimize investment and make innovations in the system and mechanism of funding for China's vocational education.</span>

Abstract:In the context of further development of economic globalization and the beginning of China's economic transformation, this paper focuses on the status and existing problems of vocational education in China and draws on the experience of other countries in establishing and improving education systems. This essay first studies the industry ecology of vocational education in China and discusses the government's solutions. In addition, through the horizontal comparative analysis, the author found that some countries' successful experience in promoting VET (vocational education and training) to develop is worth reference. Then this paper further illustrates the roles of government, industry, training institutions and school in China, India, Germany and the United States. At last, the study found that China needs to vigorously promote school-enterprise cooperation and industry-education integration and learned that leading social forces and private capitals is the key to establish a healthy and perfect vocational education system.

Abstract:Vocational undergraduate education focuses on the cultivation of students' comprehensive technical ability, problem-solving ability and technical innovation ability. The development of vocational undergraduate education in China is the result of a combination of factors such as national strategies and regional missions. In this article, we have sorted out the policy documents and development history of China's vocational education, elaborated the current situation of vocational undergraduate education's development situation in various regions, their development orientations, talent goals and their faculty structures. By the end of the passage, several suggestions are proposed based on international experience and China's national conditions, which are China's vocational undergraduate education needs to take the"China mode",following the main purpose of "dual-track parallel, conditional integration". It's also highlighted that relavent departments should gradually promote the standardisation of vocational undergraduates' schooling, development of special features and standardisation of governance in order to truly realize the high-quality development of vocational undergraduates education in China.

Abstract:The Chinese government is pouring resources into building vocational education at all levels of the Chinese educational system. Based on ethnographic fieldwork conducted in three vocational secondary schools in 2007–2012, this article compares rural and urban schools to highlight the persistent urban–rural divide in implementing vocational education, and to understand popular resistance to vocational education and its effects on students and families. Through observations of classroom practice and interviews with students, parents, teachers, and administrators, the authors investigate the paradox of why vocational education is growing rapidly in China, even though parents and students have deeply-held objections to this form of schooling.

Abstract:The development of higher vocational education in China embodies a global trend of vocationalism that values skills and skilled workers, which is opposite, in some ways, to the Confucian tradition in Chinese education that values theoretical knowledge related to good governance. As the cultural trend supporting the development of higher vocational education, vocationalism is implicated in certain challenges including high tuition fees, limited upward mobility, and neglect of the humanities in education. Humanities for moral education, and mechanisms for upward mobility on equal terms for all, which are fundamental elements of Confucianism, may help resolve these challenges. This paper embodies the dialectic of a global trend and local culture in educational reform within the context of globalization.
