The Comparison of Secondary Science Teacher Education Curriculum and Core Content among China, America, Japan and Korea

Abstract:The researchers analyzed Secondary science teacher education curriculum and core content in China, America, Japan and Korea, based on professional quality that teachers should have. Results show these countries are all lack of courses that promote teachers’ professional recognition, most college value the subject knowledge and liberal knowledge in professional knowledge, and their professional skills are trained in similar ways but various in content. Finally, we make recommendations to China based on the results of the comparison.
