Research on the High-level Athetes Volitional Quality in Chinese Advantageous Events of the Winter Olympics

Abstract:With the methods of literature information and questionnaire,the paper has a further research on the high-level athletes' volitional quality in Chinese advantageous events of the Winter Olympics. The results show that the various dimensions of athletes' volitional quality are all above the medium level. The excellent speed skaters have good tenacity and self-confidence. The outstanding figure skaters have good toughness,tenacity,self-control,self-confidence and goal clarity. The high-level skiers of freestyle aeri-als have good toughness,tenacity,self-confidence and goal clarity. There are some significant differences among the high-level athletes from Chinese various advantage events of Winter Olympics in following di-mensions except the decisiveness:tenacity,self-control,self-confidence and goal clarity. It thinks the re-spective characteristics of various events is the important factor which results in the above significant dif-ferences.
