Abstract:The main purpose of this paper is to investigate characterizations of composition operators on Bloch and Hardy type spaces. Initially, we use general doubling weights to study the composition operators from harmonic Bloch type spaces on the unit disc to pluriharmonic Hardy spaces on the Euclidean unit ball . Furthermore, we develop some new methods to study the composition operators from harmonic Bloch type spaces on to pluriharmonic Bloch type spaces on . Additionally, some application to new characterizations of the composition operators between pluriharmonic Lipschitz type spaces to be bounded or compact will be presented. The obtained results of this paper provide the improvements and extensions of the corresponding known results.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to study when two composition operators on the Hilbert space of Dirichlet series with square summable coefficients belong to the same component or when their difference is compact. As a corollary we show that if a linear combination of composition operators with polynomial symbols of degree at most 2 is compact, then each composition operator is compact.

Abstract:It is well known that the composition operator on Hardy or Bergman space has a closed range if and only if its Navanlinna counting function induces a reverse Carleson measure. Similar conclusion is not available on the Dirichlet space. Specifically, the reverse Carleson measure is not enough to ensure that the range of the corresponding composition operator is closed. However, under certain assumptions, we in this paper set the necessary and sufficient condition for a composition operator on the Dirichlet space to have closed range.

We find a class of symbols that induce a bounded composition operator on the Dirichlet-type spaces, by applying results of the multidimensional theory of composition operators for the weighted Bergman spaces of the bi-disc.

Abstract:Let $$\lambda _i (i=1,\ldots ,k)$$ be nonzero complex scalars and $$\varphi _i (i=1,..,k)$$ be analytic self-maps of the unit disk $$\mathbb {D}$$ . We show that the operator $$\sum _{i=1}^k\lambda _iC_{\varphi _i}$$ is compact on the Bloch space $$\mathcal {B}$$ if and only if $$\begin{aligned} \lim _{n\rightarrow \infty }\Vert \lambda _1\varphi _1^n+\lambda _2\varphi _2^n+\cdots +\lambda _k\varphi _k^n\Vert _{\mathcal {B}}=0. \end{aligned}$$ We also study the linear combination of composition operators on the Banach algebra of bounded analytic functions.
