Implementation and Performance Evaluation of Multi-path Source Routing Protocol in Wireless Ad Hoc Network

Abstract:Some basic concepts on wireless Ad Hoc multi-path source routing (MSR) protocol,were introduced. The implementation of MSR under Linux, completed by the authors, was also presented and some key algorithms in the implementation were given. Some experiments were done on a test-bed consisting of five mobile nodes. The performance evaluation of MSR in terms of the test-bed was conducted and some performance results were achieved. The main conclusion is that MSR can provide better support for mobile communications especially in fast movement environment.
