Abstract:Network security is an important research area in the application of information system now,How to implement effective access control based on user's identity is very important. Abstract:The traditional campus network system uses firewall and some access control policies to ensure its security,the network of this model just can prevent the danger from external,but can not effectively guard against the internal hidden security flaws,therefore,improving the internal security is an important link for secirity of the whole campus network.This paper analyzes the principle and characteristic of trusted network,applies the trusted network into the campus network,puts forward a new campus network system based on the authentication technology,at the same time,also describes its structure and elements,and gives the network topology diagram,finally analyzes the priciple of security mechanism and the specific methods for achieving this.

Abstract:Considering access control with more card, scattered access flow data and poor scalability in current university building multi-system, the campus integrated access management platform triple frame design with the core of perception layer, transport layer and application layer was proposed. Campus card access control applications based on a unified data processing were realized, by method of Media and unified campus card authorization, implementing hierarchical management and access networking, comprehensively regulate access standards and centralized storage of data water. The design not only facilitates the management of school access control applications, but also carries out data mining based access control and lay the foundation for leadership decision-making support.

Abstract:By analyzing the principle of remote authentication dial in user service (RADIUS) protocol and the applied security algorithm, an improved RADIUS protocol was proposed to enhance the security performance of networks.Based on the improved protocol,AAA (authentication,authority and account) architecture was set up for the Internet service providers.The AAA architecture for wireless gateway does not increase the complexity of the communication systems, and is simple and easy to implement.

Abstract:Aiming at the university management information system security threats and challenges, a security architec-ture named 1C4GS was proposed. Abstract:Campus network security is an important problem now, and it comprises many different security levels. This paper presents a six-layer network security architecture, which consists of physical security, link security, network level security, information security, application security and user security. Then a multi-layer, comprehensive and distributed campus network security solution is presented based on it. This solution covers comprehensive aspects from low level to high level, from static passive prevention to dynamic active prevention ,from before ,between to after the intrusion ,from system to desktop and from host to network. It can give max security to the campus network and can also be used in other kind of LANs.

Abstract:A wireless LAN service integration architecture based on current wireless LAN hotspots is proposed to make migrating to new service cost effective. The AAA (Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) based mobile terminal registration signaling process is discussed. An application layer end-to-end authentication and key negotiation protocol is proposed to overcome the open air connection problem existing in wireless LAN deployment. The protocol provides a general solution for Internet applications running on a mobile station under various authentication scenarios and keeps the communications private to other wireless LAN users and foreign networks. A functional demonstration of the protocol is also given. The research results should contribute to rapid deployment of wireless LANs hotspot service.

Abstract:This paper investigates the importance of uniform identity authentication system for building knowledge sharing platform, and presents the general framework of this system. An architecture based on kerberos Protocol and Security Assertion Markup Language is used to solve the issue of the Single User Sign-on to Multiple Services. This paper also discusses the issue of organizing user's id and access control lists with the distributed directory tree method, and a real application model is presented. This system can provide a very effective and secure access on knowledge sharing system.

Abstract:IEEE 802.11 wireless local area networks (WLAN) has been increasingly deployed in various locations because of the convenience of wireless communication and decreasing costs of the underlying technology. However, the existing security mechanisms in wireless communication are vulnerable to be attacked and seriously threat the data authentication and confidentiality. In this paper, we mainly focus on two issues. First, the vulnerabilities of security protocols specified in IEEE 802.11 and 802.1X standards are analyzed in detail. Second, a new mutual authentication and privacy scheme for WLAN is proposed to address these security issues. The proposed scheme improves the security mechanisms of IEEE 802.11 and 802.1X by providing a mandatory mutual authentication mechanism between mobile station and access point (AP) based on public key infrastructure (PKI), offering data integrity check and improving data confidentiality with symmetric cipher block chain (CBC) encryption. In addition, this scheme also provides some other new security mechanisms, such as dynamic session key negotiation and multicast key notification. Hence, with these new security mechanisms, it should be much more secure than the original security scheme. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
