Abstract:Using the idea of multiscale analysis and by combining the model-based analysis method for dynamic systems with the multiscale signal transformation method,we put forward a new algorithm of multiscale distributed information fusion estimation.For multi-model dynamic systems having different description for target state at different scales, at the finest scale we can obtain the optimal fusion estimates based on global information,which give a primary solution to the information fusion estimation of multiscale dynamic systems.This work enriches and develops the information fusion theory.

Abstract:This paper presents a data fusion algorithm for dynamic system with multi-sensor and uncertain system models. The algorithm is mainly based on Kalman filter and interacting multiple model (IMM). It processes crosscorrelated sensor noises by using augmented fusion before model interacting. And eigenvalue decomposition is utilized to reduce calculation complexity and implement parallel computing. In simulation part, the feasibility of the algorithm was tested and verified, and the relationship between sensor number and the estimation precision was studied. Results show that simply increasing the number of sensor cannot always improve the performance of the estimation. Type and number of sensors should be optimized in practical applications.

Abstract:Based on mulitsensor single model dynamic systems,a state fusion estimation algorithm is presented.Multisensors observe the same target,where different sensors may have different sampling rates and the ratio between them may be positive rational numbers.The algorithm is in real-time,and the optimal in the sense of linear minimum covariance.It is proved that the fused estimate is more accurate than the Kalman filtering result based on single sensors.The fused estimation error covariance will increase if any of the sensors' information is neglected.The feasibility and effectiveness of the algorithm are shown through simulation results.

Abstract:Multi-sensor and multi-target distributed fusion has a big computational burden. A multi-sensor distributed fusion algorithm based on clustering by fast search and find of density peaks (CFSFDP) is proposed. The local target tracks which come from the multi-sensor are divided into multiple categories. The obtained categories number is the target number. The corresponding cluster centers are the fusion states of the targets. The least square fitting algorithm is used to smooth the target's fusion result. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has a higher robustness, compared with traditional Covariance Intersection (CI) fusion and local tracks of single sensor.

Abstract:A crucial problem of data fusion in distributed sensor networks mainly results from the unknown correlation in the fusion process. With unknown correlation, the common process noises may cause double-counting errors in fusion results. To optimize the fusion results, the common process noises should be eliminated in fusion results. In this paper, the correlation from common process noises are modeled as the mutual part of two estimates. The size of the mutual part is qualified with information entropy, and then the value range of the mutual part is also analyzed with the joint entropy. Finally, the mutual part is estimated to optimize the fusion results and eliminated with covariance intersection. The simulation of target position verifies the improvement of the proposed fusion method compared to the current alternatives.
State Estimation of the Underwater Moving Target Based on Multi-Sensor Information Fusion

Abstract:The Kalman filter has been widely used in state estimation of moving targets. Furthermore, the well-known conventional Kalman filter requires an accurate system model and exact prior information. However, the nonlinearity, dynamic and randomicity in the underwater environment result in uncertainty and incontinuity of the observation information and unknown bias of the system model, which may seriously degrade the performance of the Kalman filter or even cause the filter to diverge. Therefore, a novel filtering algorithm based on multi-sensor information fusion estimation theory and dynamic bayesian network inference is presented, which is based on the idea of fusing firstly and then filtering. Firstly, the multi-sensor system fuses the sub-systems measurement information to obtain more accurate initial measurement information and covariance information, and then smooth missing data and fuzzy data by fusing the the obtained system state predictive information and all the measurement information of the sub-systems to obtain the accurate state estimation of underwater moving target. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed method can efficiently estimate underwater target state without prior noise information, and can evidently improve the state estimation precision of underwater moving target by adjusting the weight factor despite noise-related. Abstract:This paper is concerned the problem of multi-sensor state estimation with cross-correlated noise, this paper adopts sequential fusion to estimate the state. The statistical characteristics of measurement noise of different sensors in the multi-sensor system is related, and also related to the system noise in one step. Firstly, based on the estimation of observation noise, a global optimal fusion filter based on sequential fusion and Cubature Kalman filter is proposed for the first time. Secondly, the algorithm proposed in this paper is simulated by numerical method. The method of numerical realization is Cubature Kalman filter based on deterministic sampling. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by a simulation example.

Abstract:Due to heterogeneous sensors' implementation of information complementary, improvement of target tracking precision, a asynchronous measurement fusion algorithms is proposed in this paper . The process is as following : First step is linearization of the measurement equation.. Synchronous data are obtained secondly by building pseudo measurement equation at the fusion center. Finally, since correlation of process noise and pseudo noise, the filter towards one-step correlated noise and measurement noise is utilized to achieve the optimal state estimate. Simulation instance is provided to compare the new algorithm with the existing approach. The results show that the optimality of the new algorithm is developed in this paper.
Smoothing algorithm for multi-sensor fusion with general correlated noises

Abstract:In view of multi-sensor fusion estimation performance for maneuvering target tracking, a new smoothing -fusion algorithm is proposed for discrete-time linear system with general correlated measurement and process noises. The correlations between the errors are calculated precisely by analysis of the error transmission property. Based on the linear unbiased minimum variance estimation theory, the new algorithm estimates the system states recursively by using centralized expanding-dimension method with all measurements in the given interval. Compared with the uncorrelated or partially correlated Kalman smoothing-fusion algorithm, the new fixed-interval smoothing-fusion algorithm is superior under the hypothesis of Gauss distribution of noise, and the fixed-lag algorithm is suboptimal. Simulation results verified the superiority of the new proposed algorithm in the general correlated noises. It was also shown that its improvement of the tracking performance increased with the increasing of the correlation coefficient.

Abstract:In view of the multisensor linear discrete time-invariant stochastic control system with correlated noises and different measurement matrices for every sensor,a new weighted measurement fusion estimation algorithm is presented by using the full-rank decomposition of matrix and the weighted least square theory.The newly presented algorithm firstly converts the measurements of many sensors into an equivalent sensor,which is then estimated.The estimating result is proved to be equivalent to the centralized fusion steady-state Kalman estimating result,so that it also has the asymptotic global optimality.It can obviously reduce the computational burden,so it is convenient for application in real time.A simulation result shows the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Abstract:In order to resolve the problem of multi-sensor dynamic system with uncertain or changeable measurement noise, we present a multi-sensor data fusion algorithm based on fuzzy adaptive Kalman filter. Combined fuzzy logic and covariance-matching technique together to adjust the measurement noise covariance and make model measurement noise gradually close to the true noise level. As a result, the Kalman filter's tolerance to model error is improved. When the measurement data is missing or abnormal, the observation is replaced by the predicted one, and the divergence of the traditional Kalman filter is omitted. Then we use a multi-sensor optimal information fusion criterion weighted by matrices in the linear minimum variance sense. The simulation results show the proposed method is feasible and effective, and more accurate for target tracking. At the same time, we discuss the effect of the number of sensor on the estimation precision.

Abstract:To solve the problem of sensor systematic bias estimation in sensor network, a systematic bias fusion estimation algorithm was presented based on multi-sensor multi-target information. To solve the fore- named problem, the algorithm was constituted a two layer fusion structure. In order to improve the precision of corresponding combination estimation, the first layer fuses the multi-sensor combination state estimation infor- mation with feedback, so the estimation precision of systematic bias can also be improved. While, the second layer fuses the multi-target systematic bias estimation information in order to further improve the estimation pre- cision. The monte-carlo simulation result shows that the algorithm can make sufficient use of the multi-sensor multi-target information with fusion structure, and achieve an exact and real-time estimation of the multi-sensor systematic bias.

Abstract:As to the practical state monitoring, more exact state estimation can be obtained by multi-same-sensors. But measurement noise from different sensors is generally correlated. Moreover, it's difficult to obtain the exact covariance matrix of correlated measurement noise and the measurement system is commonly uncertain. This paper develops the robust filtering by decomposing the measurement system to two parts, designing filters respectively to one part of the real state and composing the two estimates to obtain the final estimate of the real state. The numerical example shows that the fusion method here outperforms the general robust filter in this special uncertain system.

Through analyzing the correlation of multi-sensor, three correlation models are deduced. They are strong-correlation, weak-correlation, and maybe-correlation. Abstract:Multiscale methods in signal and image processing have experienced a surge of activity in recent years, inspired primarily the emerging theory of multiscale representation of signals and wavelet transforms. One of the lines of investigation that has been sparked these developments is statistical signal processing based on wavelet transforms and multiscale representstion. By use of the multiscale analysis, this paper combines the model-based dynamic system analysis method with the multiscale transformation method based on the statistical characteristics. Two new algorithms of multiscale fusion estimation based on multi-sensor dynamic system and single sensor dynamic system are proposed and the effectiveness of multiscale distributed fusion algorithm is illustrated.

Abstract:A unified linear fusion model of observation information with standard multi-sensor systems is presented,and then the relationship between the observation system parameters of sensors and the performance of optimal fusion estimation is analysed.For the nonstandard multi-sensor fusion system with observation system error,an effective observation system error parameters estimation model is established.Moreover for the fusion system with different nonlinear error factors among sensors,a new state fusion estimation algorithm based on alternant iterative and adaptive semiparametric regression model is introduced,which adopts frequency analysis to compensate the model error in nonstandard multi-sensor fusion system,and then extracts its nonlinear factor by the iteration with linear and nonlinear.The relevant steps to apply this algorithm are advanced.Finally,the method is validated with theory analysis and simulation experiment,and the comparative results show that the proposed algorithm is more effective.

Abstract:This study is concerned with asynchronous data fusion problem in the non-linear multisensor multirate system, where the observation noises are coupled with the system noise of the previous step. An estimation algorithm is designed based on covariance intersection (CI) fusion algorithm. First, the system is reformulated by using multiscale system theory. The local filtering algorithm processes the cross-correlated noises by exploiting the conditional Gaussian distributions. Furthermore, the first-order Stirling's interpolation algorithm and third-degree spherical-radial rule are used for non-linear approximate estimation. The fusion of the local estimate results is based on CI fusion algorithm. This study extends the currently available asynchronous data fusion algorithm for a multirate multisensor non-linear system, and considers the asynchronous correlation, then a novel algorithm is proposed, which has the ability to deal with the correlation, and is robust to the correlation between any two local filters. The effectiveness and superiority of the proposed algorithm are indicated by the results of numerical simulation.

Abstract:This paper develops a data fusion algorithm of multisensor system based on sequential filtering in distributed network. In actual multisensor dynamic system, in every time-step, observations obtained from local sensors are transformed to the center coordinate system. And then, they are transmitted to the center processor in turn. In the center processor, observations are used to update sequentially the previous global estimate with Kalman filters. Thus one can obtain a global estimate of the state at this step based on the global information. In this paper, the deductive process of the algorithm is presented. On the condition of the same accuracy, we compare the computational cost of new algorithm with that of the centralized data fusion algorithm to show the superiority of the former. Finally the simulation indicates the validity of the algorithm.

Abstract:A new algorithm of data fusion combined neural networks with DS evidential theory is presented to these questions of low accurate identification, bad stabilization and solution of uncertainty in some ways of multi-sensor system at present. According to the characteristic of characteristic information that the multi-sensor obtained, divide it into some groups and set up a corresponding neural network to every group, at the same time we introduce a concept of unknown probability to the goals based on the result of credible probability of these goals, at last we have a fusion of time and space depending on the transpositional result of the neural networks' output by DS evidential theory. The simulation shows that the way can effectively improve the rate of the targets' identification and great antinoise capacity.
