Abstract:We consider transcendental meromorphic solutions with N ( r , f ) = S ( r , f ) of the following type of nonlinear differential equations: f^n + P_n - 2( f ) = p_1( z )e^α _1( z ) + p_2( z )e^α _2( z ), where n ≥ 2 is an integer, P n −2 ( f ) is a differential polynomial in f of degree not greater than n −2 with small functions of f as its coefficients, p 1 ( z ), p 2 ( z ) are nonzero small functions of f , and α 1 ( z ), α 2 ( z ) are nonconstant entire functions. In particular, we give out the conditions for ensuring the existence of meromorphic solutions and their possible forms of the above equation. Our results extend and improve some known results obtained most recently.

Abstract:In this paper, we will deal with the existence and the form of transcendental meromorphic solutions of nonlinear differential equation f(n) + Q(d)(z, f) = p(1)(z)e(alpha 1(z)) + p(2)(z)e(alpha 2(z)), where n >= 4 is an integer, Q(d)(z, f) is a special differential polynomial in f of degree d = n - 1 with rational functions as its coefficients, p(1), p(2) are non-vanishing rational functions and alpha(1), alpha(2) are nonconstant polynomials. In particular, we can show that Conjecture 1 (in [6]) is true when Q(d)(z, f) has a special form.

If the equation admits a transcendental meromorphic solution f of finite order satisfying that λ(f)<σ(f),λ(1/f)<σ(f), then representation of f and relations between coefficients in ψ(z,f) and γi,λj can be obtained.

Abstract:In this paper, meromorphic solutions of the following type of the Schwarzian differential equation (f″/f)′-1/2 (f″/f′)2=Pm(z)/ Qn ( z) are studied.Here Pm(z),Qn(z) are two irreducible polynomials of degree m,n satisfying m≤n-2 .The characterization of Pm(z)/Qn(z) for ensuring the existence of meromorphic solutions is known, but very complicated in the calculation of determinants.A new condition, which tests the existence of solutions of a se-ries of equation sets, has been found in this paper, to replace the determinant requirements.Furthermore, the so-lution structures are also given out for the first time.

Abstract:It is shown that if It is shown that if \begin{equation}\label{abstract_eq} f(z+1)^n=R(z,f),\tag† \end{equation} where $R(z,f)$ is rational in $f$ with meromorphic coefficients and $°_f(R(z,f))=n$, has an admissible meromorphic solution, then either $f$ satisfies a difference linear or Riccati equation with meromorphic coefficients, or \eqref{abstract_eq} can be transformed into one in a list of ten equations with certain meromorphic or algebroid coefficients. In particular, if \eqref{abstract_eq}, where the assumption $°_f(R(z,f))=n$ has been discarded, has rational coefficients and a transcendental meromorphic solution $f$ of hyper-order $<1$, then either $f$ satisfies a difference linear or Riccati equation with rational coefficients, or \eqref{abstract_eq} can be transformed into one in a list of five equations which consists of four difference Fermat equations and one equation which is a special case of the symmetric QRT map. Solutions to all of these equations are presented in terms of Weierstrass or Jacobi elliptic functions, or in terms of meromorphic functions which are solutions to a difference Riccati equation. This provides a natural difference analogue of Steinmetz' generalization of Malmquist's theorem.

In this paper, we prove that if $n\ge d+1$ and if it admits a meromorphic solution $f$ with finitely many poles, then $$\begin{equation*} f(z)=s(z)e^{v(z)/(n+1)} \quad \mbox {and}\quad Q_d(z,f)\equiv 0. \end{equation*}$$ With this in hand, we also prove that if $f$ is a transcendental entire function, then $f'p_k(f)+q_m(f)$ assumes every complex number $\alpha $, with one possible exception, infinitely many times, where $p_k(f), q_m(f)$ are polynomials in $f$ with degrees $k$ and $m$ with $k\ge m+1$. This result generalizes a theorem originating from Hayman [‘Picard values of meromorphic functions and their derivatives’, Ann. of Math. (2)70(2) (1959), 9–42].

Abstract:In this article, we construct explicit meromorphic solutions of first order linear $q$-difference equations in the complex domain and we describe the location of all their zeros and poles. The homogeneous case leans on the study of four fundamental equations, providing the previous informations in the framework of entire or meromorphic coefficients. The inhomogeneous situation, which stems from the homogeneous one and two fundamental equations, is also described in detail. We also address the case of higher-order linear $q$-difference equations, using a classical factorization argument. All these results are illustrated by several examples.

Abstract:Let $P(z)$ be a polynomial of degree $n\geq 1$ and $S(z)$ be a nonzero rational function. It is shown that if $f(z)$ is a meromorphic solution of the first order differential equation $f'(z)=S(z)e^{P(z)}f(z)+1$, then there is a curve $\Gamma: x\to x+iy(x)$, where $x_0\leq x<\infty$ and $\pi<nx^{n-1}y<3\pi/2$ such that for all $z\in \Gamma$, \begin{equation}\tag† |f(z)|> \exp\left(\frac{1}{8}e^{\frac{1}{8}x^{n}}\right). \end{equation} The estimate in $(†)$ together with the Wiman--Valiron theory implies that the hyper-order $\varsigma(f)$ of $f(z)$ is equal to $n$, which allows to specify the class $N$ in complex dynamics. Moreover, this provides partial answers to Brück's conjecture in uniqueness theory and also a problem on a second order algebraic differential equation of Hayman.

Abstract:Meromorphic solutions of non-linear differential equations of the form $f^n+P(z,f)=h$ are investigated, where $n\geq 2$ is an integer, $h$ is a meromorphic function, and $P(z,f)$ is differential polynomial in $f$ and its derivatives with small functions as its coefficients. In the existing literature this equation has been studied in the case when $h$ has the particular form $h(z)=p_1(z)e^{\alpha_1(z)}+p_2(z)e^{\alpha_2(z)}$, where $p_1, p_2$ are small functions of $f$ and $\alpha_1,\alpha_2$ are entire functions. In such a case the order of $h$ is either a positive integer or equal to infinity. In this article it is assumed that $h$ is a meromorphic solution of the linear differential equation $h'' +r_1(z) h' +r_0(z) h=r_2(z)$ with rational coefficients $r_0,r_1,r_2$, and hence the order of $h$ is a rational number. Recent results by Liao-Yang-Zhang (2013) and Liao (2015) follow as special cases of the main results.

Abstract:In this paper we mainly study the existence and the form of entire solutions with finite order for the following system of Fermat-type difference and partial differential-difference equations $$\begin{cases} f_1(z)^2+(\Delta_cf_2(z))^2=1\cr f_2(z)^2+(\Delta_cf_1(z))^2=1,\end{cases}$$ $$\begin{cases} a_1^2f_1(z)^2+(a_2f_2(z+c)+a_3f_2(z))^2=1\cr a_1^2f_2(z)^2+(a_2f_1(z+c)+a_3f_1(z))^2=1,\end{cases}$$ $$\begin{cases} (a_1f_1(z+c)+a_2f_1(z))^2+(a_3f_2(z+c)+a_4f_2(z))^2=1\cr (a_1f_2(z+c)+a_2f_2(z))^2+(a_3f_1(z+c)+a_4f_1(z))^2=1,\end{cases}$$ and $$\begin{cases} (\partial^{I}f_1(z)+\partial^{J}f_1(z))^{n_1}+f_2(z+c)^{m_1}=1\cr (\partial^{I}f_2(z)+\partial^{J}f_2(z))^{n_2}+f_1(z+c)^{m_2}=1\end{cases}$$ in several complex variables. Some of our results are improvements and extensions of the previous theorems given by Zheng-Xu \cite{Zheng-Xu & Analysis math & 2021}, Xu-Cao \cite{Xu & Cao & 2018}, Xu \textit{et. al.} \cite{Xu-Liu-Li-JMAA-2020} and Li \textit{et. al.} \cite{Li-Zhang-Xu & 2021 & AIMS}. Moreover, we give some examples which are relevant to the content of the paper.
