Considerations of Urban and Rural Planning under the Background of Aging Population --- Taking Xianyang City as An Example

Abstract:In order to discuss on how to cope with the aged tendency of population in the level of urban and rural planning,this article uses the characteristics of current situation and the prediction of development trend in Xianyang city as reference and analyzes the challenge that Xianyang City is facing in its urban and rural planning to cope with aging problem.The result shows that after modeling prediction,the aging problem in Xianyang will be increasingly severe,which will have great impact on the city’s urban and rural construction and development.It also puts forward some suggestion and countermeasures for Xianyang’s coping with aging problem from the aspects of planning idea, content, technology, method and management and implementing of measures in the meanwhile.The article also can provide a reference for the aging problems in other cities.
