The Development of Regeneration Technologies of Active Carbon

Abstract:As an effective sorbent, active carbon is widely used in the treatment of wastewater. The traditional regeneration technologies of active carbon, such as thermal destruction, microorganism method, are reviewed. Some new developed technologies, including electrochemical method, supercritical fluid method, catalytic wet air oxidation and ultrasonic treatment etc., were introduced and discussed.
