Research Progress in the Mechanism of Nano-photocatalytic Degradation of Organics in Water

Abstract:Recent research progress in the heterogeneous nano-titanium dioxide photo-catalytic degradation of organics in water was reviewed. Particularly, the degradation mechanism of major contaminants and the transformation of basic functional groups together with the easily oxidized breakpoint of complex compounds were introduced. Moreover problems to be resolved in the field of photo-catalytic mechanism were proposed.
