Studies on the Chemical Constituents of the Tubers of Curcuma Longa

Abstract:From the tubers of Curcuma longa,one new compound,cyclodocosalactone(1),and ethyl ferulate(2),6-methyl-7-(3-oxobutyl)-bicyclo[4.1.0]heptan-3-one(3),isocurcumenol(4),curcumenol(5),ferulic acid(6),curcumin(7),demethoxycurcumin(8),bisdemethoxycurcumin(9)and daucosterol(10) were isolated.Based on spectral data and chemical evidence,their structures were elucidated.Among them,compounds2,3 and 6 were isolated from this genus for the first time,and compound 3 was obtained as a natural product firstly.
