Abstract:Ecotourism resource is a special type of tourism resource constituted by ecotourism landscape and ecotourism environment.Scientific evaluation of ecotourism resources is precondition for reasonable ecotourism resources utilization and potential power exploration,which will promote the healthy development of ecotourism.However,the current system emphasizes existing tourism resources particularly,but it neglects the potential of tourism resources.This situation is deduced that evaluation of tourism resource value is usually not objective and comprehensive enough,and the potential value of ecotourism resources can not play effectively.The potential index system of ecotourism resources is an integrative and dynamic system,which composed organically by 4 subsystems,namely ecotourism landscape,tourism markets,ecological environment and other supporting factors of ecotourism.Based on a comprehensive analysis of 4 subsystems,this paper established an index system for potential ecotourism resources.The index weight coefficients are calculated with the quasi principle component analysis.Further,the paper gives a detailed analysis with the examples of twelve main ecotourism resources items in coastal wetlands of Yancheng.The main conclusions are as follows:①The potential system on ecotourism resources can properly reflect the dynamic changes process in spatial-temporal domain.②The indexes of ecotourism resource evaluation system make the beneficial complement to traditional evaluation system.③The quasi principle component analysis can be regarded as an effective and new instrument for calculating the index weight.④The potential appraisement result conforms to the existing conditions of Yancheng,which suggests that the system is scientific,reliable,and generalizable.⑤The coastal wetlands tourism resources can be classified into three grades,which should be developed gradually in each stage according to their respective scores.⑥The research reveals the main factor is the ecological environment which influences the ecotourism resources quality.We should protest and nurture the wetlands in perpetuity to maximize the opportunities for their appreciation by humans.
