Abstract:Tra2#beta#1 is a member of the Tra2#beta# pre-mRNA splicing protein family and is most ubiquitously expressed in mammalian tissues. It is a necessary factor in the alternative splicing, but not in the constitutive splicing. As an important reagent in the study of the function of Tra2#beta#1, the anti-Tra2#beta#1 serum is not yet commercially available. The rabbit-anti-human Tra2#beta#1 antiserum was prepared through cloning the full length 117 bp coding sequence of Tra2#beta#2, which contained the coding sequence of the N-terminal 12 amino acid-fragment of Tra2#beta#1, into the pGEX-2X expression vector. And then immunized the New Zealand rabbit with the expressed GST-Tra2#beta# fusion protein as an antigen. Western blotting and immunocellulochemistry assays showed that the antiserum obtained was effective, specific, and useful for further study.
