Abstract:c-Myc,encoded by c-myc protooncogene,is a transcriptional regulatory factor containing bHLH/ LZ domain.It can not only directly or indirectly regulate transcriptional activation,but also inhibit the expression of certain genes.Recent studies showed that c-Myc maintains its stability by the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway and participates in regulating many biological functions,such as cell proliferation,apoptosis,cell cycle and metabolism.Dysregulation of c-Myc is involved in the process of disease development.In this review,we focused on recent advances in the regulation of c-Myc mediated by the ubiquitin-proreasome pathway.
