Abstract:During our studying of the fauna of Tibet, China, many specimens of the subfamily Tachininae ( Diptera , Tachinidae ) were collected and examined. Three species are described here as new to science, Leskia latisurstyla sp. nov. , Trichoformosomyia cuonaensis sp. nov. , and Tachina jilongensis sp. nov. , and two species, Nemoraea javana (Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1894) and N. echinata Mesnil, 1953, are newly recorded from Tibet. In addition to their descriptions, illustrations, and diagnoses, three identification keys are provided. The specimens in this study are kept in the Insect Collection of Shenyang Normal University, China ( SYNU ).

Abstract:We diagnose, describe and illustrate three new species of Microsphecodes Eickwort and Stage, all from the nominate subgenus: M. peckorum Graham and Packer n. sp. from Venezuela, M. fernandoi Graham and Packer n. sp. from French Guiana, and M. septentrionalis Graham and Packer n. sp. from Guatemala. The latter extends the known range of the subgenus further north by approximately 500 km. We provide an updated, illustrated, key to the species of Microsphecodes s.str.

Abstract:The genus Sinochlora Tinkham, 1945 is a diverse Phaneropterinae genus in the Oriental region. Previously, the genus included 16 species, distributed in East Asia region; most species are distributed in China. After examining numerous specimens of all known species of Sinochlora , we propose that the genus Sinochlora be divided into four species groups. We also describe three new species from Pan-Himalaya and Guangxi, China: S. dulongensis sp. nov. , S. makuensis sp. nov. and S. latifolia sp. nov. . A key to the species group of Sinochlora , necessary illustrations and life images of Sinochlora species are presented. The distribution of the three new species is discussed and mapped.

Abstract:Four new species, Xynobius azonius sp. nov. , X. brevifemora sp. nov. , X. duoferus sp. nov. , and X. stipitoides sp. nov. , are described and illustrated, and one species X. geniculatus (Thomson, 1895) is newly reported from South Korea. Xynobius geniculatus (Thomson, 1895) is redescribed and illustrated, and a new combination, Xynobius ( Stigmatopoea ) cubitalis (Fischer, 1959), comb. nov. is suggested. An identification key to the Xynobius species known from South Korea is provided.

Abstract:The Australian species of the genus Diochus Erichson, 1839 (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae, Staphylininae, Diochini) are reviewed and four new species are described: Diochus basseti sp. nov. and D. weiri sp. nov. from Queensland, D. lawrencei sp. nov. from Northern and Western Australia, and D. slipinskii sp. nov. from Western Australia. Four previously described species from Australia are revised here based on the examination of type material: Diochus divisus Fauvel, 1877, D. octavii Fauvel, 1877, D. longus Lea, 1929, and D. pubiventris Lea, 1929. A key to all eight species is included, along with photographs and line drawing plates for each species. A lectotype for Diochus divisus Fauvel, 1877 is designated.

Abstract:Two new species of Epichrysomallidae (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea), Sycophilodes densfemur Yang, Peng and Rasplus sp. nov. and S. altissimae Yang, Peng and Rasplus sp. nov. are described and illustrated. These species are early gall makers developing in figs of Ficus altissima Blume, 1825 (Moraceae) in Xishuangbanna, China.
