Abstract:A new species of inquiline, Lithosaphonecrus edurus Fang, Melika, and Tang, new species (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae: Synergini) is described from Emeishan, Sichuan Province, China. Lithosaphonecrus edurus is associated with an as yet undetermined cynipid gall on Lithocarpus cleistocarpus var. cleistocarpus and var. omeiensis, L. hancei and L. megalophyllus (Fagaceae). Description, diagnosis, phenology, and host association for the new species are given. The new species is supported by morphological and molecular data.

Abstract:After the examination of the oak cynipid inquilines deposited in the Parasitic Hymenoptera Collection of the Agriculture and Forestry University of Zhejiang (ZAFU, China), we provide a revision of the species of Saphonecrus, Lithosaphonecrus, Ufo (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae: Synergini) and Ceroptres (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae: Ceroptresini) found in mainland China. Two new species of Saphonecrus are described: S. albidus Lobato-Vila and Pujade-Villar, sp. nov. and S. segmentatus Lobato-Vila and Pujade-Villar, sp. nov. Four Saphonecrus species (S. gilvus Melika and Schweger, 2015, S. globosus Schweger and Tang, 2015, S. leleyi Melika and Schweger, 2015, and S. nantoui Tang, Schweger and Melika, 2015) are new records for this region. We also provide new data on the biology and distribution, redescriptions, illustrations and corrections to some of the species, as well as updated keys to Eastern Palaearctic and Oriental species of Saphonecrus and Ufo. Three species of Saphonecrus are considered to have an uncertain status: S. gemmariae (Ashmead, 1885) incertae sedis from the USA, S. excisus (Kieffer, 1904) nomen dubium from India, and S. sinicus Belizin, 1968 incertae sedis from China. The validity of Saphonecrus in the Nearctic region as well as the current status of S. serratus Weld, 1926 from the Philippines and S. favanus Weld, 1944 from the USA are discussed.

Abstract:A new species, Synergus mongolicus Pujade-Villar & Wang n. sp., is described from galls collected on twigs of Quercus mongolica. The morphological characters useful for differentiating the new species are also discussed. Three inquilines species are recorded from China for the first time: Saphonecrus shirakashii, Synergus belizinellus and S. symbioticus. Saphonecrus tianmushanus is considered a n. syn. of S. shirakashii based on comparison of the types. Saphonecrus taiwanensis Pujade-Villar new name is proposed for Saphonecrus lithocarpii Schwéger & Melika, 2015 by homonymy with S. lithocarpi Pujade-Villar, Guo, Wang & Chen, 2015 and finally Saphonecrus chinensis Tang & Schwéger, 2015 is considered a n. syn. of S. lithocarpi Pujade-Villar, Guo, Wang & Chen, 2015.

Abstract:In the present paper, we describe Xestophanopsis Pujade-Villar & Wang gen. n. to the tribe Diastrophini based on Ceroptres distinctus Wang, Liu & Chen, 2012 and transfer Ceroptres distinctus Wang, Liu & Chen, 2012 to Periclistus Foerster, 1869 as Periclistus setosus (Wang, Liu & Chen, 2012) comb. n. In addition, we report the first record of Periclistus capillatus Kovalev, 1968 from China, along with the first report and description of the male. Finally, we provide a taxonomic key to all Eastern Palaearctic species of the genus Periclistus.

Abstract:Pima tristriata sp. nov. is described as new to science based on specimens collected from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China, and P. boisduvaliella (Guenée, 1845) is also treated here for comparison. DNA barcodes of the two species are provided, together with a neighbor-joining tree for species delimitation. A key to the Holarctic species and a distribution map of the Chinese species are presented.

Abstract:Palaearctic species of Periclistus Förster has been systematically described, but a new inquiline gall-wasp, Periclistus qinghainensis sp. n., is described from China. This species was obtained from an unknown stem gall induced on Rosa sp. Diagnosis, distribution and biology of the new species are described in this paper. After examining the types of Periclistus idoneus Belizin, 1973 and Periclistus capillatus Belizin, 1968, it is concluded that Periclistus idoneus belongs to genus Aulacidea, and Periclistus capillatus is a valid species of Periclistus. A key to the Palaearctic Periclistus species is also given.

Abstract:The genus Diolcogaster Ashmead, 1900 (Hymenopteran, Braconidae, Microgastrinae) from China is revised and keyed, with nine new species, namely D. bifurcifossa sp. n., D. brevivena sp. n., D. grammata sp. n., D. ineminens sp. n., D. laetimedia sp. n., D. pluriminitida sp. n., D. praritas sp. n., D. punctatiscutum sp. n. and D. translucida sp. n. described and illustrated, and one species, D. perniciosa (Wilkinson, 1929) recorded for the first time from China. Abstract:A new green lacewing species Apertochrysa roseusfrontata sp. nov. and a newly recorded Plesiochrysa ramburi (Schneider, 1851) (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae: Chrysopinae) from South China are described based on the morphological characters of both adults and larvae. Both species were found predating Dysmicoccus neobrevipes Beardsley, 1959 (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae) on sisal (Agave sisalana Perrine, 1838) in Guangdong Province.

Abstract:A new gall wasp species, Cerroneuroterus yukawamasudai Pujade-Villar Melika sp. nov., is described from China. The asexual generation induces leaf lenticular galls, and the sexual generation induces catkin galls on Q. acutissima and Q. variabilis. Sexual females and males are not described yet. Data on the diagnosis, distribution, and biology of the new species are provided, including a key to sexual and asexual females of all described Cerroneuroterus species. Previous misidentifications of host galls recorded in Japan are commented on. Molecular analyses were performed to assess the validity of the genus Cerroneuroterus and the affiliation of the new species.

The females of four species are described for the first time: L. alpina, L. haviensis, L. neosticta and L. orbiculata. Six new combinations are proposed: Lecithocera platomona (Wu, 1997) comb. nov. and L. stimulata (Wu, 1994) comb. nov. transferred from the genus Quassitagma; L. frisilina (Gozmány, 1978) comb. nov. transferred from the genus Recontracta; L. baliocata (Wu, 1994) comb. nov., L. sarmenta (Wu, 1994) comb. nov. and L. stictata (Wu, 1994) comb. nov. transferred from the genus Galoxestis. Images of adults and genitalia for all treated species are given, along with a checklist of all Chinese species of Lecithocera.

Abstract:Two new species of Epichrysomallidae (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea), Sycophilodes densfemur Yang, Peng and Rasplus sp. nov. and S. altissimae Yang, Peng and Rasplus sp. nov. are described and illustrated. These species are early gall makers developing in figs of Ficus altissima Blume, 1825 (Moraceae) in Xishuangbanna, China. Their biology is discussed and an identification key to the described species of Sycophilodes is provided.
