Abstract:This paper describes a new species Parasinophasma ledongense sp. nov. of the genus Parasinophasma Chen & He, 2006. The diagnostic characters of the new species are illustrated, and an identification key is provided for males and females of the genus. In addition, we show that Sipyloidea wuzhishanensis (Chen & He, 2002) is a junior synonym of Huananphasma amicum (Bey-Bienko, 1959).

Abstract:A new genus of stick insects, Brockphasma Ho gen. nov., with the type-species, Brockphasma spinifemoralis Ho, Liu, Bresseel & Constant spec. nov., is described and illustrated from Vietnam. Both sexes, the egg and the first instar nymph are described and figured. Data on the habitat and natural foodplants are provided. Brockphasma Ho gen. nov. is differentiated from other genera in Neohiraseini by spinose occiput, anterior region of mesonotum with a spinose hump and spinose anterodorsal and posterodorsal carinae of femora. A key to the genera of Neohiraseini from Vietnam is given.

Abstract:The genus Dedalopterus Sabatinelli & Pontuale, 1998 from Laos and Vietnam is reviewed: three species are present of which Dedalopterus lexuanhuei Pham, Ahrens & Sabatinelli , new species from Central Vietnam (Ngoc Linh Mts., Annamite Range) is here described. Dedalopterus malyszi Bunalski, 2001 is present in North Vietnam (Lao Cai, Hoang Lien Son Range), and Dedalopterus pulchellus Sabatinelli & Pontuale, 1998 (= D. bezdekorum Zídek & Krajčík, 2007, new synonymy) is known from Northeast Laos (Mt. Xiangkhouang and Mt. Phou Pan). Additional records, an updated checklist, and an identification key of the genus Dedalopterus are provided. All species treated are abundantly illustrated.

Abstract:Palpostilpnus Aubert, 1961 is a genus of the subfamily Phygadeuontinae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) with 17 currently recognized species from the Oriental and Australasian regions. In this paper, this genus is reported for the first time from Vietnam. Eight new species are described, comprising: P. cattienensis , P. hoanglienensis , P. incompletus , P. melanothoracicus , P. melinhensis , P. meovacensis , P. ngoclinhensis and P. taynguyenensis. Three species, P. maculata Sheng & Sun, 2013, P. pterodactylus Reshchikov, Santos, Liu, Barthélémy, 2019 and P. tamasek Reshchikov, Santos, Liu, Barthélémy, 2019 are recorded as new from the country. The key to the world species of Palpostilpnus by Reshchikov et al . (2019) is modified to include eight new species from Vietnam.

Abstract:The rare bee genus Habrophorula Lieftinck, 1974 is recorded for the first time from Vietnam. The genus is represented by a new species, Habrophorula belladeceptrix Tran, Engel & Nguyen, sp. nov. , from Cao Bang Province and can be most easily confused with H. nigripes Wu from China. The species is most easily differentiated by the unique form of the male terminalia but can also be distinguished by differences in integumental and setal coloration. A revised key is provided to the species of the genus. Females of the new species were collected at flowers of Saurauia roxburghii Wall. and Saurauia napaulensis DC. ( Actinidiaceae ); males were collected at flowers of Lantana camara L. ( Verbenaceae ).

Six species are newly recorded in China, namely P. arisba (Nixon, 1973), P. circumscriptus (Nees, 1834), P. laetus (Marshall, 1885), P. maritimus (Wilkinson, 1941), P. salalicus Mason, 1959 and P. viminetorum (Wesmael, 1837). Abstract:Mylonchulus laocaiensis sp. n. recorded from Vietnam, is described and illustrated, and its phylogenetic relationship within the Mylonchulidae family and Mononchida order are analysed. The new species is characterized by medium body size (L = 1.0–1.5 mm); buccal cavity goblet shaped, 26–29 × 14–16.5 μm or 1.8 (1.7–1.9) times as long as wide; posterior position of dorsal tooth apex (79%–88% from the base of buccal cavity); a small subventral tooth present on subventral wall; pars refringens vaginae with faint and small (2.5 × 1.7 μm) teardrop-shaped pieces, short pars distalis vaginae; male with short spicules (54–57 μm) with rounded head. The molecular data (18S and 28S rDNA) are provided for the new species.

Abstract:The genus Sycanus Amyot & Serville, 1843 includes seventy-two valid species distributed in African and Asian regions. Among those species, eight of them, Sycanus atrocoeruleus Signoret, 1862, S. bifidus (Fabricius, 1787), S. croceus Hsiao, 1979, S. falleni Stål, 1863, S. minor Hsiao, 1979, S. rubricatus Stål, 1874, S. sichuanensis Hsiao, 1979, and S. ventralis Distant, 1919, were described and recorded in Vietnam. In this study, we examined species of Sycanus collected from Vietnam based on external morphology, male genital morphology, and molecular phylogenetic analyses inferred from mitochondrial COI sequences. Consequently, two new species, Sycanus thuathienhuensis sp. nov. and Sycanus taynguyenensis sp. nov., were discovered, described, and illustrated here.

Abstract:New data are presented for the potter wasp genus Orancistrocerus van der Vecht ( Eumeninae , Odynerini ) occurring in Vietnam. Two species are described as new to science: Orancistrocerus thanhnhat sp. nov. and O. thanghen sp. nov. Orancistrocerus aterrimus erythropus van der Vecht is synonymized with Orancistrocerus aterrimus aterrimus (de Saussure); the male genitalia of this species are described for the first time. An updated key is presented to all species of the genus.
