Abstract:Three genera with eyes setose of Braconinae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae), i.e. Chelonogastra Ashmead, Ectemnoplax Enderlein and Pycnobracon Cameron, are reported in China with five species recognized, one of them is new species: Ectemnoplax xizanginensis, sp. nov. The new species is described and illustrated in detail. Pycnobracon is reported from China for the first time. The type specimens are deposited in the Parasitic Hymenoptera Collection, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China (ZJUH).

Abstract:This paper describes a new species Parasinophasma ledongense sp. nov. of the genus Parasinophasma Chen & He, 2006. The diagnostic characters of the new species are illustrated, and an identification key is provided for males and females of the genus. In addition, we show that Sipyloidea wuzhishanensis (Chen & He, 2002) is a junior synonym of Huananphasma amicum (Bey-Bienko, 1959).

Abstract:Simple Summary Schizoprymnus is a genus of braconid wasps distributed throughout the whole world except the Neotropical region. There are 126 extant species of Schizoprymnus, 22 of which are known from China (without new species described in this article). This paper describes and illustrates seven new species found in China. The species of the genus Schizoprymnus Forster, 1863 (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Brachistinae) from China are revised. Seven new species, namely S. carinatus Yan and Chen, sp. nov., S. glabratus Yan and Chen, sp. nov., S. liui Yan and Chen, sp. nov., S. parvidentatus Yan and van Achterberg, sp. nov., S. punctiscutellaris Yan and Chen, sp. nov., S. septentrionalis Yan and Chen, sp. nov., and S. subspinosus Yan and Chen, sp. nov. are described and illustrated. In addition, S. telengai Tobias, 1976 is reported for the first time from China. An updated key to the Chinese species of the genus Schizoprymnus is included.

Abstract:A new green lacewing species Apertochrysa roseusfrontata sp. nov. and a newly recorded Plesiochrysa ramburi (Schneider, 1851) (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae: Chrysopinae) from South China are described based on the morphological characters of both adults and larvae. Both species were found predating Dysmicoccus neobrevipes Beardsley, 1959 (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae) on sisal (Agave sisalana Perrine, 1838) in Guangdong Province.

Abstract:During our studying of the fauna of Tibet, China, many specimens of the subfamily Tachininae ( Diptera , Tachinidae ) were collected and examined. Three species are described here as new to science, Leskia latisurstyla sp. nov. , Trichoformosomyia cuonaensis sp. nov. , and Tachina jilongensis sp. nov. , and two species, Nemoraea javana (Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1894) and N. echinata Mesnil, 1953, are newly recorded from Tibet. In addition to their descriptions, illustrations, and diagnoses, three identification keys are provided. The specimens in this study are kept in the Insect Collection of Shenyang Normal University, China ( SYNU ).

Abstract:Two genera, namely Dolabraulax Quicke and Scutibracon Quicke of Braconinae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) from China are studied for the first time, and four new species, namely Dolabraulax jigongshanus Wang & Chen, sp. n., Dolabraulax flavus Wang & Chen, sp. n., Dolabraulax brevivena Wang & Chen, sp. n. and Scutibracon fujianensis Wang & Chen, sp. n. are fully described and illustrated. The examined specimens are deposited in the Parasitic Hymenoptera Collection, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China (ZJUH).

Abstract:Mavropanorpa n. gen. is an Asian genus of scorpionflies with about 17 species, evidenced as monophyletic mainly because of the crossing of its thin subsidia (accessorial structures of the aedeagus). The genus diversified in continental east Asia before one species reached Japan, founding an evolutionary branch including Mavropanorpa japonica (Thunberg, 1784). The sister species of japonica migrated back to continental China and developed into today's M. kellogi . Lack of a medigynial apodeme in female M. japonica, lewisi and close allies is not plesiomorphic, but a result of reduction. The same holds for the shape of the subsidia and the lack of their crossing in M. japonica and M. kellogi , for which there is a pre-stage in M. nipponensis . Mavropanorpa and the type species of Panorpa, P. communis are compared with each other. A new genus name ( Calliopanorpa ) is also proposed for Panorpa takenouchii Miyaké, 1908 which is only superficially similar to Mavropanorpa . – Some morphological structures are renamed to avoid confusion with terminology in other insect groups or because unjustified homology might be inferred.

Abstract:The genera Bitomoides van Achterberg, 2004, Neopius Gahan, 1917 and Sternaulopius Fischer, 1965 of the subfamily Opiinae are newly discovered in China and one new species of each genus are described and illustrated, viz. Abstract:The species of the genus Campyloneurus Szépligeti and Iphiaulax Foerster (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Braconinae) from China are revised and 32 species are recognized, including 14 new species (Campyloneurus brachyurus sp. nov., C. lasiofacialis sp. nov., C. longitergum sp. nov., C. longitudinalis sp. nov., C. micromacularis sp. nov., C. nigriventris sp. nov., C. promiscuus sp. nov., C. pachypus sp. nov., C. quadraticeps sp. nov., C. robusticella sp. nov., C. rugifacialis sp. nov., C. stigmosus sp. nov., C. tergipunctatus sp. nov. and Iphiaulax longinervis sp. nov.), which are described and fully illustrated. Campyloneurus kirbyi (Cameron, 1905) is reported from China for the first time. A key to taxonomically similar genera, Campyloneurus, Craspedolcus Enderlein, Cyanopterus Haliday, Iphiaulax and Maculibracon Li, van Achterberg & Chen), and a key to the Chinese species of the genera Campyloneurus and Iphiaulax are provided.

Abstract:Herein, we describe Panophrys congjiangensis sp. nov. obtained from the Yueliangshan Nature Reserve, Congjiang County, Guizhou Province, China. Phylogenetic analyses based on the mitochondrial genes 16S rRNA and COI indicated that this new species represented an independent lineage, closely related to P. leishanensis. The uncorrected genetic distances between the new species and its closest congener, P. leishanensis, were 3.0% for 16S rRNA and 8.4% for COI. The new species is distinguished from its congeners by a combination of the following morphological characteristics (1) medium body size (SVL 28.6-33.4 mm in males and 38.4-40.2 mm in females); (2) a small horn-like tubercle at the edge of each upper eyelid; (3) the tympanum distinctly visible (TD/ED ratio 0.47-0.66); (4) vomerine teeth absent; (5) the tongue not notched behind; (6) a narrow and unobvious lateral fringe on toes; (7) relative finger lengths II < I < V < III; (8) rudimentary webs on toes; (9) hindlimbs slender, heels overlapping when thighs are positioned at right angles to the body; (10) two metacarpal tubercles on the palm, with the inner metatarsal tubercle long and oval-shaped; (11) the tibiotarsal articulation reaching the nostril when the leg is adpressed and stretched forward; (12) dorsal skin rough with numerous orange-red granules, ventral surface smooth; (13) a single internal subgular vocal sac present in males; and (14) in breeding males, weak gray-black nuptial pads with black nuptial spines present on the dorsal surface of the bases of the first and second fingers. To date, the new species is only known from the type locality.

Abstract:The lecithocerid genus Woonpaikia Park, 2010 and Woonpaikia angoonae Park, 2010 are newly recorded from China. Woonpaikia similangoonae Yu & Wang, sp. nov. and W. imperspicua Yu & Wang, sp. nov. are described as new to science. Images of adults of the Chinese Woonpaikia species are provided, along with a key to the males of all the known species of Woonpaikia .

Abstract:The taxonomy of the genus Paracyphononyx Gribodo, 1884 from China is studied. Two new species, P. pilisquamatus Liu & Ma, sp. nov. and P. noncarinulatus Liu & Ma, sp. nov. , from Yunnan, Hainan, and Guangdong Provinces, are described and illustrated. A new combination is proposed for Paracyphononyx smithi (Banks, 1934), comb. nov . A key to the Chinese species of Paracyphononyx is provided.

Abstract:Two new species of the genus Sphingonotus Fieber, 1852, namely Sphingonotus taiwanensis sp. nov. and Sphingonotus zhongningensis sp. nov. are described in this paper from China. The new species Sphingonotus taiwanensis sp. nov. is similar to Sphingonotus nebulosus (Fiescher-Waldheim, 1846), but differs from the latter by interspace of mesosternum wider, width 1.8 times the length; hind femur pale red on inner side; hind tibia pale red, with 13 spines on inner side and 10 spines on outer side; hind wing pale yellow at base. The new species Sphingonotus zhongningensis sp. nov. is similar to Sphingonotus salinus (Pallas, 1773), but differs from the latter in: vertical diameter of eye 1.3 times horizontal diameter; metazona of pronotum is 2.0 times prozona in length; hind tibiae with 13 spines on inner side and 12 spines on outer side; black band of hind wing wider in the middle, apical part not narrowed; black band of hind wing in the apical part larger, not divided into two.The type specimens are deposited in the Taiwan Agricultural Research of Institute (TARI), Taichung Taiwan, China and in the College of Plant Protection, China Agricultural University, Beijing, China respectively.
