Study on the Anti-aging Effect for Hirsutella Lanpingensis H.Yu & Z.H.Chen

Abstract:Ophiocordycep lanpingensis H.Yu & Z.H.Chen is a newly found species closely related to O.sinensis and has high medicinal value.In ader to explore the anti-aging effect of Hirsutella lanpingensis was explored, the anamoph of O.lanpingensis.Crude polysaccharide was extracted from fermentation products to analyze its effect of on the life of Drosophila melanogaster for its different contents (0.01%～0.3%).The results showed that the crude polysaccharide could prolong the average lifetime, the longest lifetime and the half death time of D.melanogaster adults.The lifetime extension effect increased with the addition of crude polysaccharide concentration, while it had a maximum concentration threshold.It got the best effect when crude polysaccharide concentration increased to 0.2%, the prolongation rate of average lifetime reached 42.17% for the female and 21.47% for the male.However, the prolongation rate would enter downtrend if crude polysaccharide concentration exceeded 0.2%.The life extension of H.lanpingensis also appeared sex difference, the effect on the female getting better.The results could lay a foundation to reveal the pharmacological activity of H.sinensis.
