Status and Trends of Environmental Governance Research Based on Bibliometrics

Abstract:Analysesof status and trends of environmental governance in the the domestic and foreign research based on bibliometrics to provide information for researchers and decision makers.Bibexcel,Citespace and UCINET were used to data mine andquantitatively analyze papers form 1990 and 2015 in the CNKI and SSCI database.We found that environmental governance research papers are growing and this is especially obvious from 2006.The European and American countries dominate this field:Yale University,University of Wisconsin and University of Groningen.However,the domestic key authors and the high influence article are weak,Peking University,Wuhan university and Fudan unviersity pay close attention to the environmental governance research.Global environmental politics are journals published high quality articles on environmental governance in the world.Chinese articles from this research increased dramatically in recent years,while articles with high impact and good international journals are few.Environmental social governance,especially public participation and system involution will be the emphases and direction in the future research.
