Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of CO2 laser ablation on laparoscopic cyst excision of patients with endometriosis (EMT) .Methods Random number table method was used to group 87 cases of EMT admitted in gynecology department of Hanzhong 3201 Hospital from March 2010 to June 2013 into laser group (CO2 laser ablation, 43 cases) and electric coagulation group (bipolar electrocoagulation, 44 cases) .Two groups were compared in surgery effect, ovarian function changes and the incidence of complications. Results There were no significant differences in operation duration, anal exhaust time and length of hospital stay between two groups (t value was 0.709, 0.984 and 1.008, respectively, all P>0.05).The amount of bleeding in the laser group was significantly less than that in the coagulation group (t=2.612,P<0.05).In the third month after menstruation resumption, the FSH of patients in the laser group was lower than that in the coagulation group (t=2.348, P<0.05), but E2, average follicle count (AFC) and ovarian volume were significantly larger than those of the coagulation group (t value was 4.437, 19.318 and 4.823, respectively, all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of surgical complications between the laser group (13.95%) and the coagulation group (18.18%) (χ2 =0.288, P>0.05).The difference in pregnancy rate between the laser group (65.22%) and the coagulation group (44.44%) was not significant (χ2 =2.761, P>0.05).Conclusion The application of CO2 laser ablation in laparoscopic cyst excision has the advantages of reducing the amount of bleeding and little influence on ovarian reserve function. It is also safe and reliable.
