Abstract:【Objective】 To investigate the clinical features of peripheral blood immune cells in unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion (URSA) patients when the patients are in the state of inevitable abortion or non-pregnancy,and to provide clinical basis for URSA prevention and treatment. 【Methods】 A retrospective analysis of 184 cases of URSA and the spontaneous abortion (SA) patients was conducted,and all patients were divided into 4 groups. URSA inevitable abortion group including 55 cases inevitable abortion in early pregnancy,while 23 cases in SA inevitable abortion group. In addition,62 cases in the URSA non-pregnant group,while 44 cases in the SA non-pregnant group,the visiting time of the URSA non-pregnant group and the SA non-pregnant group were more than 3 months from last abortion. Records of general situation of all the patients are made including age and menstrual cycle. The peripheral blood immunocytes were tested by using flow cytometry,including T cell ratio,Th cell ratio,Ts cell ratio,Th / Ts,the number of white blood cells (WBC),the number of total lymphocytes (LYM cells),B cell ratio,and natural killer cells (NK cells) ratio. 【Results】 Th / Ts is higher abnormally in inevitable abortion groups of URSA and SA. The former is 2.77 ± 5.16,and the later is 3.67 ± 6.12. NK cells ratio is obviously higher in the URSA inevitable abortion group which is (15.57 ± 6.45)% and that in the SA inevitable abortion group is (11.38 ± 3.66)%,and there is significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05). The number of WBC is (6.27 ± 1.09) × 109 in the URSA non-pregnant group and(5.59 ± 1.16) × 109 in the SA non-pregnant group (P < 0.05). The ratio of NK cells is (18.26 ± 7.88)% in the URSA non-pregnant group and (11.00 ± 6.80)% in the SA non-pregnant group (P < 0.05). 【Conclusion】 When early pregnancy abortion is inevitable,patients of URSA and SA patients are in certain immunodeficiency. The common aspect is the abnormally Th / Ts increased in specific immunity,and the difference is that the proportion of NK cells of non-specific immunity is increasing in URSA but not in SA. In non-pregnant state,the SA patients with immunodeficiency may be adjusted back to normal when spontaneous abortion have happened more than 3 months before,but the immune disorder of URSA patients is still remained,mainly in the respect of non-specific immune for WBC number and percentage of NK cells increasing. During clinical work,we should pay attention to immune status of the URSA patients.
