Abstract:Health needs a supporting safeguard mechanism. The U.S. insurance industry began to pay attention to the health risk since the 20th century,and raised the concept of health management in 1978. Up till now,its health care system and framework have been working well. Though American commercial insurance takes the responsibility of social security in other countries,the U.S. government is still playing an important role in health care sector in America, especially in legislating,total planning,maintaining social justice,providing tax preference,financing,and cooperating with non-government organizations and government procurement. The article researched the role of the U.S. government in health care sector and aimed to provide reference for China’s health care sector.
