Abstract:Objective To investigate the development of and problems in the translational medicine cen-ters in public hospitals and put forward suggestions accordingly. Methods The translational medicine centers of four public hospitals were investigated, and descriptive statistics method was adopted to analyze the basic situation of scientific research and the main factors influencing the transformation of scientific research results at the four cen-ters. Results There was a shortage of high-end inter-disciplinary talents in translational medicine centers of public hospitals. The funding channel was single. The mechanism of transforming scientific research achievements was defective. The policies of translational medicine were not well connected and implemented. Conclusion It is necessary to strengthen the cultivation of talents specialized in translational medicine, enrich multi-channel fun-ding sources, and improve the organizational model of translational medicine.
