Abstract:Object To get molecular proof of transgenic Isatis indigotica Fort Methods The regenerated I. indigotica plantlets on kanamycin-containing media were anal ysed with polymerase chain reaction (PCR), Southern Blot and RT-PCR methods Results PCR and Southern Blot analysis showed that the foreig n PTA gene were inserted into the genome of the transformed I. indigotic a plants Further RT-PCR showed that the foreign PTA gene could be tra nscripted into mRNA normally. Conclusion Pest resistant I. indigotica can be obtained through Agrobacterium- mediated transformation
