Abstract:Objective:To observe effects of Tongxinluo( TXL)on the pathologic change and the expression of placental growth factor in rats with acute cerebral infarction,and to explore its mechanism of action. Methods:Using filament method to copy middle cerebral artery occlusion( MCAO)model of rats. The rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:the sham-operated group,the model group,TXL group and Butylphthalide group. After modeling for 1 day and 3 days,the neurological scores were taken to evaluated the rats,the morphologi-cal feature of neurons was observed by HE staining,the level of PlGF on the brain and serum were detected by immunohistochemistry and ELISA. Results:Compared with the model group,the neurological impairment of the TXL group were alleviated,cell injury of the hippocampus and cortex were relieved,brain and serum expression of PlGF were increased(P<0. 05). Conclusion:TXL has protective effects on rat cerebral ischemia brain injured by MCAO,which is related to regulating PlGF expression.
