Professor WANG Qingguo's experience on liver cirrhosis

Abstract:Professor WANG Qingguo has been clinically practiced for more than 40 years,and he specialises in treating liver cirrhosis with syndrome differentiation.Professor Wang maintains the pathogenesis of liver cirrhosis is dampness and heat toxic throughout the disease,especially in activity stage.The excessive manifestation is liver qi stagnation,dampness-heat and blood stasis,and blood stasis blocking channels is the key pathogenesis.Professor WANG divides liver cirrhosis into four syndrome types: long-lasted dampness-heat and blood stasis blocking channels,intermingled liver heat and spleen cold,disharmony of liver and spleen,blood stasis due to qi stagnation;yin-deficiency of both liver and kidney,stagnant-heat blocked internally.He also emphasizes combination disease and syndrome,integrated Chinese and western medicine,which shows good effect.
