Preliminary Study on the Mechanism of Calming and Dispersing Liver Simultaneously in Treating Depressive Syndrome

Abstract:The cause and pathogenesis of depressive syndrome was analyzed, the therapeutic method of calming and dispersing liver simultaneously from our clinic practices of years was summarized from three aspects, i. e. the liver’ s dispersing function, the clinical divisions of depressive syndrome and the curative effect, the mechanisms and functions of this method was described, it ’ s merits and demerits when using in each of the seven clinic patterns of depressive syndrome, respectively, was explained, it’ s theoretical feasibility was studied, and finally it was checked by experiential cases. Both practices and theories proved that this method is useful, and may be considered as a new thought to the modern TCM clinic.
