Abstract:Objective To compare different dosage sufentanil on cardiovascular response to laryngeal mask airway insertion during general anesthesia induction. Methods Forty patients (American society of anesthesiologists Ⅰ-Ⅱ) undergoing low-abdomen or low-extremity procedures were randomly assigned to routine treatment group (group A) or low-dose group (group B), with 20 patients in each group. All the patient was premedicated with sodium luminal 0.1 g and atropine 0.5 mg i. m. 30 min before entering operation room. Anesthesia was induced with propofol 2 mg/kg and rocurenium 0.6 mg/kg, sufentanit 0.5 μg/kg (group A) or sufentanil 0.25 μg/kg (group B). Laryngeal mask airway insertion was performed after establishment of neuromuscular blockade. Arterial blood pressure and heart rate were measured non-invasively at pre-anesthesia(T0) ,end of induction (T1), laryngeal mask airway insertion (T2),and 1 min (T3), 2 min (T4),3 min (T5), 4 min (T6),5 min (T7) after insertion. Results Heart rate was significantly lower in group A than that in group B during the observation period (P<0.05). Five patients in group A and 1 patient in group B received atropine for bradycardia (heat rate <55min-1) before laryngeal airway mask insertion. Compared with T0, heart rates at T1, T2, T6, T7 in group A and at T1, T2 in group B were significantly lower (P<0.05). Systolic, diastolic and mean arterial blood pressure (SAP, DAP, MAP) decreased significantly between anesthesia induction and laryngeal airway mask insertion in both groups (P<0.05). There was no difference of blood pressure between two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion 0.25 μg/kg sufentanil provides optimal laryngeal airway mask insertion condition with less bradycadia and inhibits cardiovascular response during general anesthesia induction.
