The exploration of midwifery development in China

Abstract:Midwives have a vital role in protecting the health of women and children. One of the important strategies to deal with Chinese maternal and child health challenge is to strengthen the ability of midwives. The studies on midwifery policy development and the construction of the core competence of midwives in China made by the research group of Peking University School of Nursing have promoted the practice of midwifery professional reform.
