Abstract:[Objective] To evaluate the effect of plasmakinetic vaporization in treatment of large volume benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH). [Methods] 46 cases of large volume BPH patients were treated by transurethral plasmakinetic vaporization of prostate(PKVP). [Results] The operative time was (65±21) min, the intraoptrative bleeding was (80±35) mL, no TURS happened and 2 cases of prostate surgical membranes was damaged. All patients had got normal voiding after removal of catheter 2, 3 days postoperatively. The IPSS score, QOL score and RUV were decreased obviously and Qmax was improved postoperatively (P 0.01). [Conclusions] PKVP has the advantage of less complication, high safety and good efficacy. It is an ideal treatment for large volume BPH.
