Attitudes toward e-learning among nurses: influencing factors

Abstract:Objective To investigate nurses' attitudes toward e-learning and to analyze the influencing factors.Methods A total of 534 nurses working in 8 hospitals in urban shanghai were investigated using online questionnaire in terms of their attitudes toward elearning.Results Nurses' attitudes toward e-learning scored 100.24±13.63,and 270 nurses (50.6 ％) displayed positive attitudes toward e-learning.Logistic regression analysis showed that marriage status,hospital feature,and average weekly computer use were influencing factors of attitudes toward e-learning (P＜0.05,P＜0.01).Conclusion Nurses' attitudes toward e-learning was positive,but those who were not married,worked in general hospitals,and spent shorter time on computer use per week had poor attitudes toward e-learning.Nursing managers should pay attention to and conduct targeted measures to encourage nurses to participate in online learning.
